It tells me that the French are as corrupt as they are duplicitous.

Well, Swedish tv is saying Blix DID say the word divided and Jarrett had the exact quote. Blix tried the clintonian word games in the tape Fox aired, and now is shown to be a complete liar. It depends on what the meaning of 'divided' is.. If divided means each leader was standing at their own separate podium divided by several feet of space that is one thing but if it means divided on policy that is something else..
To: mware
correction, it was railroad line.

This was my favorite quote on that thread:

Uh oh. Remember when Reverend Jim on "Taxi" would make some profound comment on humanity and draw a crowd fawning and seeking wisdom and then he said the knowledge came from like Mars and the crowd would disperse? Uh oh.

Do you have links for Any live feeds of networks. When did FNC get removed from that nice site I had set up on my computer at work? It was working beautifully during the Columbia Shuttle Tragedy. I hope you are right that Fox will live feed for war coverage.

I wouldn't characterize it as a Blix lie. Blix was saying "the" 24 hour timetable didn't pertain to every act. On that, he is right. 24 hours for Saddam to disarm. 24 hours for the Security Council to act decisively. But is is reasonable that actual disarament will take more than 24 hours, whetehe Saddam does it on his own (he won't) or somebody forces him to do it with force. So, 24 hours doesn't apply to every act, therefore the message was divided.
He put this in various forms, including the point that Bush and Blair talked about slightly different subjects. I didn't hear Blix say that the "24 hours for a commitment" message was not held by all of the participants. He was picking nits as to what the commitment contained.
More importanly, Blix really is irrelevant at this point. The players under the deadline are UNSC and Saddam. If UNSC is not forthcoming with a clear "disarm NOW" resolution, backed by force (it won't, France already promised a veto), diplomacy is over. Period.

Thank you. Wish there was a live feed to FNC via the internet. We are going to be living through "interesting times" these next few weeks.

Has anyone considered that we disarm France after we deal with Iraq? We need to realize that France is not a friend, but an enemy of the USA.

What if Tierny is right--
What if the big liar has developed a few ICBM's and has them buried and ready to launch out of some underground/sand facility. I shudder to think----

How long would that take? Ten minutes? Long enough for them to throw both hands up?

I'm working on a few things. When that FNC feed died, it took a CNN feed, a BBC World feed and the CTV NewsNet feed with it. Give me a few hours.

News nets showing Bush greeting people behind a barrier at the airport, shaking hands, many pictures and excited people. Rare sight after 9/11 - looks very nice.
