So ya better hand on til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya
Tomorrow

Agree, this group has made a decision to go to war. They will now ask the UN if they are with us or against us. They get tomorrow to decide.

I don't know about the networks but Judy Woodruff looks just like she did on 11/5/02 - close to tears!

"How bout the Battle Hymn of the Republic"
Robert Shaw Chorale or Mormon Tabernacle Choir? :) After 9/11 I found patriotic and religious music particularly comforting and have gathered a nice selection. Also particularly enjoy Lee Greenwood and Daniel Rodriguez's patriotic CD's.

I just got the sheet music for this on an instrument I'm learning, and I play it ALL THE TIME---very badly, but I don't care, because it makes me feel so good.

HIGH NOON!!!!! Yep. Tomorrow is it for all parties: Saddam, UN, USA/UK. Then the word will be given.
To: Dolphy
I can't wait to hear what the Iraqi people are going to have to say to those countries "France and Germany" when they are finally able to speak out.
I can hear them now...
"You mean our freedom was delayed because of these yahoo's?"
To: mware
Thats what I was thinking, if Saddam is going to strike, its going to be real soon.

My take is Bush wants to go now, but the 24hr thing was the last bone he is going to throw to Blair.
To: netmilsmom
I'm singing right along with you!!!! Thanks for the lyrics....I remember them too! Great show and perfect song for now.

I think that was a throw away line. None of these leaders really expect the UN to be serious... I think its more in the nature of a last minute appeal to the French and the others to avoid wrecking the UN. More to the point, the UN looks finished unless the French have a deathbed conversion tomorrow which I don't expect unless Chiraq wants to do a humiliating climbdown from the corner he painted himself and his country into.
To: cyncooper
No sooner than Friday, I would say...if tomorrow is the "moment of truth" then Bush will lay an ultimatum to Saddam down on Tuesday and declare the diplomatic process over, it'll give the people in Iraq 72 hours to get out. Friday night -- boom.
So what is your take on why Bush kept saying "tomorrow" and "one more day" and Blair kept saying "this next period of time"?
To: cyncooper
The end of the conference seemed to get tougher. I just hope today's stern countenance carries over to whatever goes on tomorrow. Sometimes I wonder if Powell adequately conveys the gravity of the situation. He's a little too "collegial" with his fellow diplo-crats sometimes for my taste. Let's hope this talking ends and action comes soon before our troops start leaning back (it's natural...I've been there).

Wagner Ride of the Valkries might be appropriate even though he was german. It's a ride of the valkries moment IMO.

I think tommorow night Bush will speak to the Nation.

Yep she understood the message very clearly and seemed to be in shock that that the US would do such a thing...... Basically she understands that the decision has been made and not much can change it now...
