But I wonder what she was trying to accomplish, by not moving. I have a feeling her friends actually are taking pleasure in her death and will try to use it for their own political gain. What did they accomplish by allowing their bimbo friend to run out in front of a bulldozer? Why didn't at least one try to hold her back or to save her from being run over the second time? They needed a martyr for their cause?

"
I guess one man's "young and innocent woman trying to save someone's home from destruction" is another man's "terrorist sympathizer who knew exactly what she was doing".
Oh, come on. Is the cultural war really that bad that we have to ignore specific individuals and actions and lump them all together under the Terrorist Sympathizer label? Ever hear or freedoms of assembly, speech and petition? Or due process? Rule of law? Trial by jury?
Your Terrorist labelling and condemnation is totalitarian and the Vets sure-as-H didn't fight for that crap to come to America! We fought it overseas, we'll fight it here.
She was just a misguided kid who died trying to save someone's home. There's no Terrorist there. She's no Talliban Johnny.

I do not take pleasure from this young ladys death. But I wonder what she was trying to accomplish, by not moving.Who knows, some deluded idea of helping, what she perceived to be, oppressed people. Maby she thought she was doing what the guy at Tiananmen Square who stopped the tanks was doing. She was too young to remember it but some professor or other person who influenced her could have shown it to her. Clearly it was a stupid thing to do.
My comments were directed more at the people who seem to take pleasure in her death. Unfortunately there do appear to be some. Hopefully they are posting in the heat of anger or frustration and do not really feel this way.

Airheads. All that rain in the northwest must prevent oxygen from getting to their brains. Also on their website is an essay directed to U.S. military personnel, instructing them to refuse to follow orders.
Ummmm...skimming through this "essay," I notice that they cite Michael Moore (stupid white man) as one of a group of veterans that have issued a statement in agreement with theirs. Neat trick! Of course, they have him confused with a retired Navy vet, but who can check facts in times like these? Sheesh.

Ever stop to consider that constitutional guarantees end at the water's edge? This "ditsy chick" took sides in someone else's war zone and paid the price. When something similar happens to a protester stateside, you might have a case. Maybe.

There was an article in our local paper touting a young man from Blaine who was working for the HAJ, a legal group who defends Palestinian terrorists. The article read like the guy was some kind of hero.

YOU "come on". Frankly, I think it's a gigantic leap to assume that someone in their twenties who travels that distance to do what she was doing didn't understand precisely why she was doing it.

You no-good, rotten, insignificant little person. How DARE you say something like that about my son!! For you to even suggest such a thing says something about YOUR hidden desires!
I guarantee you for sure, you certainly wouldn't say that to his face. For one thing, you're a coward. For another thing, he could blow on you and you'd fall down. Taking it further, as angry as I am, it's a good thing you're not in front of ME right now!
I am reporting you for being grossly out of line.

Thank you for your discernment. It's people like that who bring disrepute upon this forum - not those who have gallows humor for poetic justice.

My point, and I'll attempt to see if it penetrates again, is that there is something distasteful with any post rejoicing her death.I think maybe there is a certain rightful satisfaction when radical leftists enabling a culture and philosophy of death are brought face to face with the consequences thereof. Usually it's the little brown people who have to suffer the consequences of their feckless enthusiasms.
