What does ROFTL mean? I see it posted all the time but have no idea what it stands for?

Yes it is sad. She was a young and innocent woman trying to save someone's home from destruction.

She was a young and innocent woman trying to save someone's home from destruction.Hmmmm. I guess one man's "young and innocent woman trying to save someone's home from destruction" is another man's "terrorist sympathizer who knew exactly what she was doing".
Count me in the latter category.

Yes it is sad. She was a young and innocent woman trying to save someone's home from destruction. It's sad, but not for that reason. Maybe hit the library and come back after some exposure to what's really happening in the world. :-)

Youth and stupidity often go hand in hand. She was too young to have formed an accurate view of the world.
While I understand the frustration people feel for fools fools who are (deliberately or through naiveté) support terrorists I am deeply troubled by what appears to be pleasure, by some, at this persons death.

What should be done with those who brainwashed her into such stupid actions? (I mean her liberal, misguided, anti-american professors) Why is that a question? Compete.

Human shields don't fair too well against bulldozers, nor tanks, nor trucks, nor bombs, nor bullets, nor dictators..............

I read down to the bottom(1-50) and read the discourse...only two people made mention of the fact that this could really turn into something bad. If the left takes off with this?...

One of my sons drives me nuts sometimes. He thinks Al Gore has good environmental policies and thinks Hillary is beautiful. However, even HE laughed when I told him about this stupid girl.
For those who are thinking it, I doubt very seriously if she would have changed as she grew older. The Jane Fondas of this world NEVER change.
But you have a good heart. Jesus knows. Stay that way.

Sorrow for her family's loss, yesIn this whole thread, no one has bothered to explore this. Let's take a look at that for a second here.
In reading the news report (not the comments on the thread) it crossed my mind as to what kind of upbringing this child must have had. What kind of mentality in her household did she grow up with? That would lead her to have such a misguided view of her country? Of right vs. wrong. Of good vs. evil. Who were the people that raised her who would skew her moral beliefs to support and defend terrorists and hate her country and it's allies that much to throw yourself in front of a bulldozer? What kind of schooling did she receive here in this country that would lead her to her beliefs?
As other have pointed out, yes she made her choices, and in my opinions the wrong ones. I don't revel in her death, that is tragic. But I don't feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for the parents whose belief system filled their childs head with nothing but the selfishness and self righteous values of liberalism. They will now have to live out the remainder of their lives with that choice. Pitiful that the parents ignored the fact that your choices and actions will always have consequences. Something liberals conveniently forget, until it's too late.

I consider her to have been a useful idiot I think that's what her friends do too. You notice none of her fellow protestors tried to stop her from going in to jump in front of a moving bulldozer? And after she was run over, possibly still alive, they didn't run in to pull her out but instead watched her be run over again? I think they wanted a martyr and she was a useful idiot.

I do not take pleasure from this young ladys death. But I wonder what she was trying to accomplish, by not moving. Common sense says get out of the way, if the bulldozer is not stopping. Its a senseless death. She made stood in front of that bulldozer of her own volition!

Hate is being openly expressed for anyone who dares disagree with the mobs views and agenda.Maybe hate experessed toward the sypathizers of Jew murderers. It's called a harsh reality check. Don't expect people here to be all touch-feely when may Jews have been murdered by people this moron was trying to defend. This is a war, and if some twit wants to play games this is the result. Boo freakin hoo.

She's 23 years old and an adult. What could the parent's do? It depends on if she was working her own way through college and managing to save up enough money for a little trip to Palestine, or were her parents actually giving her money for her foolish ventures. If they did then they are just as stupid as their daughter. I have a feeling it was they who handed her the money to travel to the Middle East.

Sure, she might have become the next David Horowitz, but that is pure speculation. One thing that is certain is that many of these fanatics are beyond the reach of reason. I have worked in higher education for fifteen years and know the type all too well.
I pray we as a nation will never come to this extremity but fear that an American Pinochet will ultimately have to put these people down in order that some semblance of republicanism (small "r") may survive.
Another certainty is that she will neither aid and abet terrorists nor encourage others to do likewise ever again. This is a positive good, and if her peers at Hitler U do not profit by her example, then may they swiftly follow her to her reward.
To: EYEWatchin
I don't think she was trying to get herself killed. Note that the story does not actually say she was hit by the bulldozer, but by the sand pushed by the bulldozer. think she got too close, tripped or something, and got buried.
Unfortunately, I do think Scott from the Left Coast is right, that she will be lionized as a martyr by many in my home town of Olympia. Olympia is one of the most liberal cities in a liberal state. And Evergreen is probably the most liberal part of Olympia.
