I think we all can rest-assured that this is a natural phenomenon. If the CDC cannot identify a bug by now, that would ALMOST FOR SURE mean that it is not a modfied form of something that already exists. The sophistication needed to create a new pathologic microbe is simply not there--especially among Third-World countries.
