I looked at a few of his other posts. I think the guy meant well. I just think it's hard for people to dive in the deep end never having learned to swim. When you start learning about the Clintons, you're definately in the deep deep end of the pool.

Chief are you saying you don't believe the Colonel's book excerpts? I heard him say NOT ONE MISSILE is pointing at us at a SOTU speech and I KNEW it was a lie when he said it. He repeated it often. I for one don't believe much of what comes out of X42's mouth.

Pure garbage Which part is garbage? I also heard President Clinton say, "For the first time since the dawn of the nuclear age, on this beautiful night, there is not a single nuclear missile pointed at a child in the United States of America.". I also knew it was a lie.
When Clinton lies to you on a matter you know about why would you conclude that you could believe him when he speaks on a matter you don't know about? Add to that the numbers of times his lies were exposed and then understand why all words he speaks are suspect. Clinton is a phony. Can you tell the difference between the truth and a lie when a phony speaks?
So again I ask, what part was garbage? If you feel you can refute the assertion then please do so. If you cannot then at least have the good manners to not resort to labeling as garbage what you can't refute.

I think the CHIEF has left the building...........he knows it is time to duck and cover.

Thank you. I was hoping someone else would remember. Re quidam, I always thought he was either Matt Drudge or William Safire. Whoever it was would have well placed sources giving him tips that needed confirmation. He would post some ambiguous stuff on FR, and then try to fill in the blanks.

For the first time since the dawn of the nuclear age, on this beautiful night, there is not a single nuclear missile pointed at a child in the United States of America. Well, the missiles, even if they're pointed at general locations in our country, aren't specifically pointed at a specific child.
See how easy this is? D**n, was he "good" at being bad.
To: MHGinTN
Oh, and as to the "for the first time" part, well, since NO missilie has EVER been pointed at a SPECIFIC child in the 58+ years that nukes have existed, we're still in the "first time period."
To: DoughtyOne
Hmm... K for this one...
But I still have a sneaking suspicion we're being infiltrated. Perhaps to coincide with the start of the war....
Lots of odd newbie posters with pro-statist positions lately.

Bill Clinton could take any issue, and tie it to the concerns of working families with children. Take any issue, and add in the magic words, " for the children." Lying was just second nature to him. His lies were so smooth, so carefully crafted, and so "larger-than-life."Haha, this stuff will have the Democrats sighing in reminiscence of the good old days. Man, they're kicking over rocks to find more liars like Clinton to run for office. Lying (smooooothly!) is the very key to Democrat Party success.
To: DAnconia55
You may be right. On other threads he seemed okay, but I have not ax to grind. Take care.

You are sooooo correct. They still are following that formula. Wait until Halliarity starts building her campaign and watch out: Her only cry will be --- "For the Children."
I believe Hillary was the person responsible for that theme song originally.

Far too clever. The operative verb is here: there is not a single nuclear missile. It all depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

Slick has always had a problem with those two- and three-letter words, like "is" and "sex."

Does anyone remember the comments made by quidam a few years back? He mentioned the 'football' and that Clinton no longer had access to it. I don't remember the details but perhaps someone else does.I certainly remember quidam and "Coke is it!" thread that went on and on. I have a vague recollection of what you are referring to here. But a stronger recollection that sometime in the late nineties we heard that the FBI was not giving him the security briefings they normally would give to a sitting president. Does anybody recall more detail on that? It came out of the fundraising business, if I recall.

Slick has always had a problem with those two- and three-letter words, like "is" and "sex." Sex is a different problem. As my wife told me at the time, that wasn't really a semantic problem, but a practical one. Said she, "If he'd had sex with a conservative woman instead of a liberal, there would've been no doubt in his mind that he'd had it."
I had to admit on the basis of my own experience that she was quite right.

Republican strategy dealing with liars and Dems. spewing hate speech has been non-effective. Au contraire my fellow Freeper, the strategy of Do nothing has been extremely effective ;-)

If the nuclear codes were missing, it wasn't because Clinton "lost" them, it was because he SOLD and, probably, to the Chinese.

I expect this book will be treated similarly. It is already #40 at Amazon and I don't think that it has been released yet.
