They can't even get the date right. LOL. The chicks are still in hot water.

A new kind of Freep? Ive been over at Amazon and Barnes and Noble this morning writing one-star reviews on all Monkey Chicks CDs. Below is what Ive been putting in. Takes a couple of days to show up, but its a slow morning. Worked well for Al Gores recent published masterpieces. Really upsets the natives. Have fun!
Dixie pork rind Chicks are not Country Artists
The Dixie Chicks and especially lead singer Natalie Maines are not country music artists. They are shallow anti-American trained monkeys. I'm throwing this CD and all other pork rind music in the trash can today. I will never purchase another CD from these fat low talent loudmouths again.

and done so by the peaceful actions of the citizens of the USA.

Well, some of those remarks were pretty darn rude and hateful. While I, too, am incredibly disappointed (OK, so that's an understatement) in Natalie's comments and will not go to the concert I was planning on going to, I don't think that anybody gets anywhere by using hate messages. Far more attention is paid to those who get the point across while refraining from profanity and name calling IMHO. I would really like to sit Natalie down with some servicemen and servicewomen I know and have them tell her first-hand what it's like to stop their lives and lay everything down for their country and our freedoms. I would also like to have her listen to some of THEIR experiences dealing with people whose opinions match hers. And for the finale, shall we watch the planes slam into the towers one more time? How could you not remember what you felt that day???

Guess they are figuring on this blowing over over the weekend. Especially if the war starts by then, as our minds will turn to other things. We'll see.

They are complete history with me but why should they worry. Every concert will be sold out. This nation can't even pass a war resolution so don't expect any disruption from a bunch of public school graduates. In fact they may gain market share. Ol' Hans Blix may come & preach to the sheeple that global warming is more of a problem than Saddam.

Dixie chick says sorry to Bush over anti-war insult
The Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines has apologised to President George Bush for an anti-war comment she made at a London concert.
"As a concerned American citizen, I apologise to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful," the country singer said in a statement.
"I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect."

Putting perspective into this:
Who cares what someone who goes by the name "Dixie Chick" has to say on anything?
I could care less about her opinions on child care, weight loss, basketball scores, farm reports.....you name it. Especially on world politics.
She sings. I'd bet she doesn't even write all the words she sings.
I might listen to her on how to make musical/vocal notes harmonize.

Am I a chick or a chicklett??? I guess it's better than Dix and Dixies. LOL. They are one of my favorite groups but I figured years ago they were rats ever since they sang about offing some dude named Earl.

As far as I'm concerned, they can stay in Europe and change their name to the Bavarian Frauleins...

I had heard that the lead singer of the Dixie Chickens had made a public apology at President Bush. She claimed that she had respect for him! Personally, I think she did that to save herself from losing fans.

"...The new system will be up and running no later than 4:00pm CST Monday March 10th, 2003.."
Where? In Bagdad? OR in Paris? And also I think the expected date is off as well...IT should be 2030 instead of 2003.
