"These Mexican officials are meeting with mayors, police chiefs and newspaper editors to make the case that this Mexican card should be accepted as legitimate within the United States. Why are we permitting it?" Hmmmmm, this is a good question. Anyone know the answer?
Why have our elected officials turned their backs on the Constitution and people they have sworn to represent on such a large scale? We have beeen betrayed at the highest level.

You and me both brother. This is a situation that screams out for Presidential involvement. What a sad revolting development.

"I have more constituents than the mayor of Los Angeles," Ms. Lara, a former senator for the State of Chihuahua, said, We certainly are allowing foreign leaders a lot of power over the US, I wonder why? It certainly isn't very smart.

The Mexican Consulates do such good work ---now they're in Brownsville trying to make sure the Mexican couple who cut the heads off their three children aren't punished under our laws even though they were living here, very likely taking welfare.

This is not surprising in a town where the newly elected Mayor stated "Los Angeles is now a Mexican city". He's not even a Mexican either. 4.7 million - not surprising. Bush loves this.

I don't see why the Mexican government believes it should retain all authority over it's citizens that have decided to live here, I can see the tourists or business visitor but not those who are staying. The murdered babies were very likely US citizens, and that couple should be punished under our laws.

Ms. Lara, a former senator for the State of Chihuahua Obviously. And what did this lying hypocrit weasel ever do for the hundreds of girls and women murdered in the Chihuahua town of Juarez? How many bodies were found last week? She's a typical Mexican politician who doesn't care about her citizens, she is part of another agenda.

Mexico doesn't believe in American sovereignty. Neither does America, apparently.

Punishing Mexicans for decapitating their children???
HOW RACIST!!!!
To: DLfromthedesert
Yes --believe it or not the Mexican Consulate is already involved in this case ---they'll try to make sure the US taxpayers provide a comfortable jail cell (or I'm sure they'd prefer they were set free) instead of being punished under our laws. It seems we aren't giving the immigrants enough welfare money so they have to resort to this.
Criminal profilers point to possible motives in child murders
http://www.brownsvilleherald.com/sections/archive/topstoryjmp/3-16-03/News2.htm
John Allen Rubio, 22, and Angela Camacho, 23, allegedly killed and decapitated their three children Julissa Angela Quezada, 3, John Esthefan Rubio, 1, and 2 month-old Mary Jane Rubio on Monday in a tiny downtown apartment.
Turvey suspects the young couple, who reportedly did not have steady income, may not have been able to handle the financial burden of three children and were desperate to alleviate their fiscal responsibility.
