My reluctance to accept DM goes back to his smarmy obnoxiousness doing Weekend Update on SNL. His attacks on the conservative agenda stick in my memory and I don't remember him doing the same to liberals back then. I hated him as a result up to and including his failed stint on MNF. The years on SNL weren't figments of my imagination. He is doing great now and I support him without altering what he did in the past, though.

I mean, I'm not saying that Brent Bozell used to have a hair up his ass about Miller, but I hear that every time he watches Miller the guy poops out an adult bull Sasquatch.

So what else did he say? I really don't want to stay up that late. I'm an early bird!

I have HBO on now, and I have no idea what I'm watching. I'm stunned.

"attacks on the conservative agenda stick in my memory and I don't remember him doing the same to liberals back then. "
Yeah, he was a lot tougher on conservatives than on liberals then. But that was they way they did comedy on SNL at that time-- as SNL's one conservative writer says, they would call Republicans racists and crooks and thieves and bastards and idiots and psychopaths, then accuse a Democrat of being "too intellectual" as "balance."
His HBO comedy specials, which started just around that time, were a LOT more balanced. He ripped into liberals quite a bit.

ROTFLOL That's so funny! Pretty fast with the one liners, isn't he?!

THANK YOU!
I am so sick and tired about hearing how liberal he is. Glad to see someone else without his head up his arse.
(is this to say Miller holds no liberal views? no, of course not. but it's like saying that Pim Fortuyn "guy" that got whacked in the Netherlands is "far right" just because he supported greater immigration restrictions. he supported those restrictions because the people coming in were more religiously and personally conservative than him)

....Clinton was only interested in the U.N. when it was bracketed by "C" and "T".
NO!!! Did he really say that? OMG... oh, that is ... incandescent!!!
To: Hildy
Well, he called Jimmy Carter a "f--king pr--k" four or five times.
He said, "Jimmy Carter's just trying to shine some ArmorAll on that turd of a presidency he turned in. He's got a lot of 6's and 7's on the Presidential Score Card he turned in."

"When they gave him a Peace Prize previously won by Yasser Arafat, he should have told them to stick it up their ass."
"I always thought Billy Carter was the smarter brother."

You read like you're as pissed off as I am by what's not happening.

"When Jimmy Carter had to deal with lunatics, he dropped the ball so hard he deflated it."

I'm loving Miller right now... but I remember clearly him being nastily in favor of gun control. I remember him quoting the "you'll have my gun when you take it from my cold, dead hands" bumper sticker and then saying, "whatever" with a smile (meaning "if we have to kill you to get the gun, fine.") I'm glad he's coming out now but I'm not going to forget that particular rant.

"I'm just saying, Jimmy Carter's a prick... I don't give one sh-t about the UN... The french are jagoffs."
To: Warhead W-88
He repeated this gem:
"Heat plus sand makes glass, and when I got done with Iraq it would look like Superman's dad's apartment on Krypton."
He asks Bill Maher and Huffington if they would REALLY support an attack on North Korea, as they're suggesting we should; they of course dodge the question.
To: Warhead W-88
Arianna Huffington is an utter douchebag. If she wasn't busy giving Bill Maher a lifetime supply of Lewinskys you'd never see her on TV. I can't remember watching a show lately that pissed me off as much as tonight's did. I can't imagine what kind of world these liberals want us to live in. If everything seems so black and white to us and the logic involved in this war cannot be seriously refuted then what the hell do they want? Should we all just bend over for the rest of the world? I don't know why this bothers me so much but it's the satisfaction of knowing that they're all going to be shamed and scorned when this is over that makes it worthwhile I guess. Sorry for venting.

he was on SNL from 85-90 right? he was ripping on conservatives? or just the people who just happened to be in the White House at that time? it occurs to me that he ripped on Slick Willie fairly often when he took up residence there (tho no longer on SNL obviously)...
