They left out the little fact that Iraq had a pro-Axis government for a brief time.

It seems to me a certainty that the fatalistic teachings of Mohammed and the utter degradation of the Arab women are the outstanding causes for the arrested development of the Arab. He is exactly as he was around the year 700, while we have been developing

It took me a long time to realize just how much a student of medieval history could gain from observing the Arab

A bunch from Ike's staff tried to put me on the spot for not disarming the French in Africa. I assumed the offensive, showing them that to disarm the French or to discredit them meant an Arab War which would demobilize sixty thousand American soldiers as a starter. All of them agreed with me at last.

There you have it: the G-d of our Bible initially delineated the boundaries of the Holy LandUntil this is proven, and it won't be, there will be strife in the Middle East while those who believe it's already been proven wait for armageddon.
I don't know why anyone even tries...

Playing midwife to all these warring Arab tribes and inventing and creating states for them has been a colossal British mistake. Beastly. A sphinx prostrating toward Mecca.
Church ill was responsible for creating Jordan and Iraq and for placing the Hashemite rulers, Abdullah and Feisal, on their respective thrones in Amman and Baghdad. And...
The longest occupiers of the Holy Land who ruled on and off for 400 years--between 1517 and 1917--were the Ottoman Turks.

The extremists do not look forward to building a better tomorrow for their children, but instead impassion them into spilling their blood to correct events hundreds of years in the past. Therein lies our problem...

The time has come for the Arab World to share the huge chunk of the Ottoman Empire they received in the early 20th century--about 1,250,000 square miles--with their Arab-Palestinian brothers and sisters.Riiight that gonna happen alright.
The time has come for the Arab World to invest their resources in democracy and freedom instead of financing an international "kill-the-infidel" culture.
For what it's worth there have been stirring in the Islamic world since 9-11 asking the question "what's wrong with us?" 9-11 has (imo) just as much of a wakeup call to the Islamic world as it was to America.
