"We need to be creating a world that we would like to live in when we're not the biggest power on the block."

If that time ever comes, his contribution to our demise will be duly noted. This is not only a preposterous statement, but an outrageous (as in outrage) one. A former president is stating that U.S. primacy in the world is fleeting. That the world's "last, best hope" will indeed fail.

While one could argue that all good things must end, the hope of America has never included the acknowledgement that she shall cease to exist; or to exist as a vassal state for some larger order.

Bill, the world you dream creating of already exists in Canada & France. Pick one & move there. I prefer to live in the lone superpower.
