"How old were those kids who willingly followed Charles Manson, lived with him, and murdered for him?" All 18 or older.

If the psycho was already married to the other woman (Wanda?), then wouldn't his "marriage" to Elizabeth Smart be null and void?

It is crossing my mind that the young girl may have run away on her own to go with the drifter. fourteen year olds often do really stupid things. Just a thought - no flames please I am open to correction. I've had the same thoughts ever since hearing her idiot father on "The Toady Show" this morning. He could be a poster child for the dependent Dim. He actually claimed that if a Republican congressman didn't get his "Amber Alert" law passed TODAY,it would be HIS fault the next girl was kidnapped and murdered! He obviously thinks the government is the answer to any question that ever comes up,and the gooberment is our daddy and will protect us.

"Some real sick people here"
Yep, right on. Patty Hearst now on Larry King doing a solid job. She is calling down all the vultures in the press, who want to interview the girl- at any cost to the child. No matter what people think of what she (Hearst) actually ended up doing- yes, she was kidnapped herself and has far more expertise than any latter day pundits.
Two more thoughts here. One. if one kicks the woodwork hard enough, the lice crawl out. Two. Mitchell will have some explaining to do to the gentlemen of the penal system. He's gonna have a long, long time, I think away from women kind.

They weren't kids.
Susan Atkins, is 54, Patricia Krenwinkel is 54 and Leslie Van Houten, is 53. Since the murders happened in 1969 they would have been 19 and 20 years old. Full fledged adults.

Yes, it would.
Moreover, if duress was involved the marriage (or any other contractual agreement) would be void.
To: Calcetines
True, but even if she was of the age of consent, I am certain the marriage would have been dissolved under either a bigamy law or due to the fact that it was under duress. It wouldn't stand.

He obviously thinks the government is the answer to any questionLOL! Next week we should expect him to demand laws against hiring transients without getting their social security number - or a reference

Your also wrong READ my post above this one.

Even if she was not a minor or above the age of marriage the marriage is void because he is legally married. Let's make REAL sure we don't cloud the facts, here. The man is a child molestor, and a kidnapper. I will stand up and applaud when he is sentenced to death.
