Actually, the emotion I read is from those on YOUR side. And, don't your words, "stop them at ALL costs" actually butress the argument of the original article?
What cities are you willing to consign to loss, and how many American lives are you willing to sacrifice to your vision of how to handle the spider web of radical Islam? Do you or your relatives happen to live in any of them?
Have you even stopped to think of how much economic disruption would occur, along with a complete breakdown of social order as the crisis became wider?
Or are you one of the juveniles, gleeful in the thought that you finally get to shoot somebody while saving the attractive girl?

NO. The "them" is Al Queda, et. al not my own government. And further "stop them at all costs" are not my words they are my President's words. I agree with my President . . . it's an emotional thing . . . I love my country and support the effort to root out Al Queda cells, et. al that want to kill us . . . at all costs.
