America: A Nation Of Cowards, Undeserving Of Freedom
Sierra Times ^ | 3/13/03 | Michael Gaddy

Posted on 03/13/2003 2:57:21 PM PST by Chancellor Palpatine

Yes, you read it right. You, who have sold out your birthright of freedom to the power of government are unworthy to be called Americans. You are nothing but cowards. You have taken the entire concept of freedom, trashed it into nothingness and laid the remains at the feet of people who seek only to profit from your money and your lives.

You continue to trust those who have made a career of prevarication with your freedom. You believe that you can say to those in power; No, we will not hold you to the constraints of Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution, which you swore to uphold and defend; but we will express incredulity when our favorite provisions, listed under the Bill of Rights of the same document are infringed. We say it is OK when government doesn't go by the rules, and then complain when they take us up on it!

I retain a special contempt for those of you who frequent the houses of worship in this country on a regular basis and yet meekly surrender your spirit and God-given freedoms to the idol/god called government. A minister in Mississippi has referred to the majority of churches in this country as social clubs for losers.

Don't flame me - I didn't write it, and despise this loathesome tripe with every fiber of my being.

Its just nice to see what our Paleocon "friends" really think of us.

A minister in Mississippi has referred to the majority of churches in this country as social clubs for losers.

Although I think that this is too severe to be credible--especially considering the overall Paleocon tone of the source article--I suspect that there is at least some truth in this. (A lot of preaching is mealy-mouthed junk [as prophesied for the endtimes in the New Testament].)

I don't think our present political climate is socialist in ideology. I KNOW it is. Even a lot of the conservative groups just argue over the speed in which we want to march to the world socialist goal. Any free trader, UN supporter, or mega-corp supporter is allied with the socialst movement.

The last administration and our present administration are dedicated to the ideal of world government. The disparity comes on the means to reach the end. The label of conservative is used to lull the public into more government control. With the threat of terror, the public is willing to give up any infringement on their Constitutional protections for supposed security.

"Paleocon" is a term that these idiots use in order to make them sound conservative in some way so that they can get their foot in the door of conservative sites and spread their BS. Truth is, they are as far from being conservative as Hillary is from being honest. Losertarians, neo-cons, radical leftists are all cut from the same stock and deserve the same exposure to ridicule whenever and wherever they appear.

I used to go to Sierra Times a couple of years ago, and I see that they are still spewing the same garbage. During Clinton's tenure, it made sense. Now it appears that they are just whining little girls with a skinned knee no matter what is actually going on in the world. They're just trying to solicit $'s from anyone who listens to their supposed 'cause'. Ignore them.

Yep - if we were so utterly worthless, devoid of principles and have so deviated from the Constitution as they see it, I'd think they'd be rushing to expatriate themselves to whatever perfect place they could find (of course, on a side note, America defeated their perfect government in the spring of 1945).

I used to spend all my time worrying about that stuff. Now, I just set aside about an hour a day worrying about it[grin].

I think it's more important at this time to get solidly behind the President's anti-terrorist program. (A few well placed WMDs on our soil really could render all of our other worries irrelevant.)

P.S. I know Franklin's quote, so you needn't bother using it. It's not terribly relevant, IMO.

There is some truth to this.

History is filled with examples of overbearing government oppressing it's people. And the whole time you can almost hear them saying "Well, that can't happen here.. "

I didn't read it in it's entirely and frankly don't care to. But to simply dismiss the above quote as some paranoid raving is a mistake, imvho.

I keep trying to get them to "conspire" to fix the pothole in front of the house.. So far, no luck. The Build-a-burgers, the Illuma-naughty and the Freemasons refuse to "conspire" on it also.

I think I may have to just "conspire" with a paving company if I want anything done about it in the near future.

You know, I've reached the end of my tether as far as pissant and all his other mental-midget friends. I'm sick of idiots who don't know sh*t from Shinola when it comes to the Constitution and what this country stands for. I'm so sick of these nutbird, sh*t-for-brains, delusional, paranoid, losers-in-the-game-of-life, oddball, tyrannical, idol-worshipping (yeah, he thinks it's someone else kissing the ass of a golden calf, but it's him!), perverted FREAKS, that I just don't have one ounce, one gram, one microgram of tolerance or patience for their loony rants. They don't deserve anything approaching rational responses to their idiotic pronouncements.

I've simply had it with these people. These weirdos, along with the French, Nelson Mandela, Jimmy Carter, Eurosnots, the Democrats and every unshaven, unwashed college student who think his re-tread 60's slogans are something new and original, can all kiss my lily-white, Anglo-Celto-Saxon, Southern Baptist, Republican, Tarheel ASS!

Out of respect for your service to our country I'll temper my response. Yours is a conclusion that is exclusively yours and rooted in emotions. And I question whether they are even your words. We are at war with an enemy that knows our liberties and hides in cracks and shadows that can exploit them for the purpose of killing you. It's a simple choice . . . stop them at ALL costs or watch this cancer grow within. Thank you for your service to our country.

"... rooted in emotions. "

Actually, the emotion I read is from those on YOUR side. And, don't your words, "stop them at ALL costs" actually butress the argument of the original article?
