As soon as I hear someone in a case like this use a word like "brainwashing," I'm prepared for what's going to come next -- the "brainwashing" is going to be used to explain some behavior on the part of this girl that any normal person would find bizarre for someone who was abducted by a stranger.

After reading my last response to you I think that it could easily be misconstrued. The 'truly disgusting' comment was in reference to the article, not to you. The fact that I believe that this may be the case of a troubled little girl being tricked by a ruthless predator does not mean that I am saying that this or any other missing child case is somehow the victim's fault. I just have reservations concerning the official story, as it is being delivered so far and believe it's too early to rule out any options.
