This probably isn't exhaustive, and if you have more to add, please do so. As a now former CUSTOMER of the Dixie Chicks (I bought Chicks' products), I won't be supporting their President-hating habits anymore.

Instead of giving these people so much attention - it would be better to stop talking about them, and just stop buying their records and CD's.
They're entitled to their opinion. The fact they felt it was appropriate to discuss it on a London stage - is beyond explanation.

Use
THIS LINK to send a message to Unliver (Lipton's Corps HQ) that you "Will not use nor purchase any Unliver Products until they stop all support of the Dixie Chicks."
BTW the "Dixie" Chicks should change their name to the "French Bitches." Or "Clinton's Gnew-kneepads."

This isn't the first time they've spoken against our President in a time of war, after being attacked! Too bad, cuz I love the National Anthem version they sung straight out during the Superbowl. It had gotten so old, people singing it and dragging notes on forever, up and down, all around, just flat out ruining its beauty. Well, they have insulted our country and our President... BTW, in the Southern US, people have been boycotting them since last year!

The way I see it, if they want to take a potshot at the Prez, that's one thing.
To do it on foreign soil, however, is different.
If their Yahoo site was shut down due to an overload of people not quite happy with what crap has come out of their mouths, maybe it is time to shut and listen for a change.

Which one of the chicks is homosexual, or is it two of them? I never could understand why folks like their songs. The ones I've heard are statements of anger and depression.

Looks like Steve Earle will have a new opening act soon on the "has been" tour.
I was thinking of buying the latest Chicks album. Instead, I'll download it for free on WinMx. They aren't getting my money.

The Chicks got some notice a few years ago when they put out a song about an abused woman who kills her husband.
She'd gotten a divorce but her ex-husband broke a restraining order and abused her again. So...:
She held Wanda's hand as they
worked out a plan
And it didn't take long to decide
That Earl had to die
Goodbye Earl
Those black-eyed peas
They tasted all right to me Earl
You're feeling weak
Why don't you lay down
and sleep Earl
Ain't it dark
Wrapped up in that tarp Earl
Surely nobody can defend domestic abuse and we can only hope the law can keep it from re-occuring after divorce
or separation, but you wonder, does the song glorify
murder (even "justified" murder?)
Earl had to die
Goodbye Earl
We need a break
Let's go out to the lake Earl
We'll pack a lunch
And stuff you in the trunk Earl
Well is that all right
Good Let's go for a ride
Earl hey
What would the reaction to the song be if it were about a man who was abused by his wife, and the man decides
to kill her? (Again, domestic abuse must stop, but...)

Thanks for the list of country music stations. I sent an e-mail to all the California country stations. Here is my e-mail:
I don't buy the Dixie Chicks excuse for bashing America on foreign soil. Too often people hide behind the First Amendment to justify cowardly and irresponsible statements. This is NOT a matter of free speech. The Dixie Chickens are free to sow anti-Americanism abroad at the very moment we need unity as we approach war; but the people are also free to boycott their music and radio stations that give air time to this unpatriotic group. Listening to the Dixie Chicks now is like hearing nails on a chalkboard.

DIXIE CHICKS MUSIC PULLED FROM THE AIR SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS!!
KUPL (portland, or)
Program Director Cary Rolfe has issued the following statement regarding the Dixie Chicks on 98-7 KUPL..."many of you have called and emailed your opinions regarding the recent statement made by Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. While KUPL hopes for a peaceful resolution to the Iraq conflict, we do support our President and military personnel, therefore we will no longer play Dixie Chicks music until the situation is resolved to our satisfaction."
Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks has issued this statement " As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."
KUPL welcomes your opinion on the request lines at (503) 733-5000 or (800) 533-K-U-P-L. Send us an email at
