This probably isn't exhaustive, and if you have more to add, please do so. As a now former CUSTOMER of the Dixie Chicks (I bought Chicks' products), I won't be supporting their President-hating habits anymore.

You wouldn't happen to have a source to link to, would you? Before I condemn someone, I would prefer to have more than heresay on which to base my indignation.

Good job Recovering Democrat! I'll be contacting my area station

Gee, and I was just beginning to like them.

Well we should get Charlie Robinson tied up in this too. He's married to one of the chix (country singer--pretty much in Texas only). He's also on the USA network's Country Idol show. He's riding high right now, so we should add him to the boycott...until he gets his woman under control.

I'm so disappointed in THE DIXIE CHICKS. They obviously don't know their audience.

Wow. Hell of a list you put together. *applauds* Great job. I'm no country fan but I could at least tolerate their songs and liked the fact they've been on Sesame street (Hey I'm a mom of 3 and 6 yr old sons *LOL*) but they're off my 'acceptable country' list now.

I've always felt they would be a better band with a different lead singer. Their version of "Landslide", that has been getting an obscene amount of airplay, is pale and anemic campared to the original. It's just their physical attractiveness that has put their popularity above that of more talented artists like Alison Kraus and Union Station.

Ever since the Dixie chicks did that song about Earl, I have been a non-fan.

You're crazy if you think this is going to mean anything to them.
In the first place, there are no "independent" radio stations left anymore. They're all owned by syndicates.
In the second, they will play what sells. If they play what sells, then people will listen. When they listen, the advertisers buy time.
Go ahead, knock yourself out. Just realize what you're up against.
You might as well tell the networks to take the Oscar show off the tube this year.

My local station
WYAY.FM, has the Blix Chicks on the background image over exposed on an American Flag. I've written and asked them to rethink their web site.

I'm sorry but there don't seem to be any country music stations in the NYC metro area ;-).
