Instead of giving these people so much attention - it would be better to stop talking about them, and just stop buying their records and CD's.
They're entitled to their opinion. The fact they felt it was appropriate to discuss it on a London stage - is beyond explanation.

I am disappointed. I really liked most of the chicks music.
What really surprises me is....get this....BACK in 1994, I was a delegate to the Texas Republican Party Convention in Fort Worth and that is the first time I ever heard the Dixie Chicks. Govenor Rick Perry, Texas Agriculture Commissioner at the time, introduced them and they entertained the delegates one evening. I really liked them better then because of their obvious musical talent and the lead singer was a lovely brunette with the sweetest voice you ever heard. Years later when I heard a song supposedly by the Dixie Chicks, it didn't sound at all the same. Took a while to get into Natalie's style- too frenetic. I got the impression that they were Republican back then....maybe they just didn't say one way or the other. But I can make a judgement about their wisdom.

Use
THIS LINK to send a message to Unliver (Lipton's Corps HQ) that you "Will not use nor purchase any Unliver Products until they stop all support of the Dixie Chicks."
BTW the "Dixie" Chicks should change their name to the "French Bitches." Or "Clinton's Gnew-kneepads."

The sisters' need to drop Natalie. She's a mediocre singer and obviously doesn't understand her audience. They're too talented to be dragged down by the likes of her.
To: Welsh Rabbit
Actually, Natalie is the most talented of them all. The Dixie Chicks were around for YEARS before they found her and she's what put them on the map. The Chicks were kind of a joke, but they kept on trudging. I love their story, that's why this is all the more sad.

It's all a matter of taste, I suppose. I've just always been more impressed with musicians than singers (that's probably why I'm so into Alison Kraus; not only is she an excellent singer, but also a genius on the fiddle).
To: Welsh Rabbit
more talented artists like Alison Kraus and Union Station. Akus puts the Clucks to shame. Just listen to the new Akus release "Live", then put on anything the DCs have out. Akus is "top-shelf"
the Clucks are "rot-gut".
Alison and the boys are good people, love America and support our troops.

Alison just smokes the hell outta the Blixe(apparat)chix!
But where they stand on politics?
By god, I am only gonna support conservatives forevermore.
To: Recovering_Democrat
This isn't the first time they've spoken against our President in a time of war, after being attacked! Too bad, cuz I love the National Anthem version they sung straight out during the Superbowl. It had gotten so old, people singing it and dragging notes on forever, up and down, all around, just flat out ruining its beauty. Well, they have insulted our country and our President... BTW, in the Southern US, people have been boycotting them since last year!

Seeing how things are going, it'd just be easier to boycott almost all forms of media. Please don't do that, there are a lot of country stars who are real Americans & are standing up for their country & our President, Clint Black is offering his new song "Iraq & Roll" free on his website & Charlie Daniels is very out spoken about the "trash talkers". These Blixie Chicks are not "real" country anyway, they are bimbos!
