I've always felt they would be a better band with a different lead singer. Their version of "Landslide", that has been getting an obscene amount of airplay, is pale and anemic campared to the original. It's just their physical attractiveness that has put their popularity above that of more talented artists like Alison Kraus and Union Station.

Ever since the Dixie chicks did that song about Earl, I have been a non-fan.

You're crazy if you think this is going to mean anything to them.
In the first place, there are no "independent" radio stations left anymore. They're all owned by syndicates.
In the second, they will play what sells. If they play what sells, then people will listen. When they listen, the advertisers buy time.
Go ahead, knock yourself out. Just realize what you're up against.
You might as well tell the networks to take the Oscar show off the tube this year.

My local station
WYAY.FM, has the Blix Chicks on the background image over exposed on an American Flag. I've written and asked them to rethink their web site.

Heh, heh, heh. One of the Blixie Chicks fans called us "Zionists" and has a link to one of the FReep links regarding this issue. I used to be a fan. No longer. If Natalie would have just kept her big mouth shut, I wouldn't be trashing my CD's and the Blixie Chicks. Wonder if they'll do a gig in Baghdad? They sure as heck won't play for President Bush whom they obviously hate, let alone support the troops who are protecting their sorry behinds from Saddamn--a tyrant who murders his own people, threatens his neighbors and would gladly give terrorists like Osama Bin Laden the tools to use against the US if he hasn't already!
Zionists? Hah! Any decent, patriotic fan who loves America and understands 9/11 and why we may have to fight in Iraq will let the Blixie Chicks know how they feel at the box office, radio stations and music stores. Any fan left standing and foolish enough to defend the Dixie Chick's stance is an "anti-Semite" if one applied that other stupid fan's "logic." Morons. What an outrageous thoughtless, idiotic thing to say.
I can't wait to hear Natalie spout her political wisdom on a stage in Nashville, Tennesee. (Heck, Tennesee didn't even carry her hero Albert Gore in the last election!)

HA HA HA! I did it! My money went somewhere else!
I had the new Chicks CD in my hands last night, and I came VERY VERY close to buying it. But I didn't. I decided to wait. Then, tonight, I read about their hateful attitude about our Commander In Chief during a time of war.
Well, I just committed the money I would've spent on the DIXIE CHICKS to the Republican Party!! BWA HA HA HA HA! Their attempt to diss our President results in SUPPORT FOR HIM!! ha ha ha!

I always thought so too. But a lot of people I know seem to think differently. That's why I said they would be a better band with a different singer. Natalie's plain, her voice is generic, and she comes off as egotistical and arrogant; the sister's are really cute and are actually decent musicians.

I'm sorry but there don't seem to be any country music stations in the NYC metro area ;-).
