I listen to very little new music any more, but I heard this on Hannity, also. It is a very good tribute, and I commend the author and singer.

Thank you for sending this; I'd heard about the song but not heard the lyrics yet. The accompanying pictures in #8 are almost more than I can bear this morning. What possible reason could radio stations have for refusing to play this song? Disgraceful. Regards, Peach

"I'm not a war-loving person," Worley told the Inquirer. "I stand behind our president on this issue, ...

AFPhys, Thanks for your freepmail about this thread. I agree with the singer Worley's quote above, as I too am not a "war-loving" person. Nor is the United States a "war-loving" nation, in my view.

But our country was brutally attacked on 9-11. Innocent people, from around the world, were brutally murdered on that date.

Fond memories of the WTC were shattered, including my own personal memories, and life in this country has forever changed.

I greatly admire and will always remember how GW and NYC's Mayor Rudy, and other leaders in our nation, brought our country together in that time of painful crisis and helped our nation to heal. My own opinion of NYC's mayor changed dramatically as a result of his leadership during that crisis.

I hope and pray for peace in the world, but I also believe GW wants that too, and that is why I support his actions to protect our nation and sustain a longterm peace.

My heart always grieves for those families who lost loved one on 9-11, and in a sense, I think we all lost loved ones on that day.

Yet despite the devestation and pain, I feel there is hope and strength in our country. Memories are painful, but I have faith in our country and our nation's leaders.

God bless America, and our military for protecting us -- because we really are the land of the free and the home of the brave. I am proud to be an American. And, I am proud of our president for all his good efforts to bring a longterm peace to the world.
