It would have happened even if the US had "finished" the war in the first place! Islamists always want to get even, one way or another. With Klintoon as Prez, even he might have guessed that Iraq was out to get back at the US by way of terrorism...after all, the 93 WTC attack SHOULD have been a darn BIG clue..but WJC was keeping a breast of other things!

The Gulf War was finished sucessfully according to the goals by which it was undertaken. It's a shame we lost the post war.

If the sun never set it wouldn't have to rise, and the point is what? Where would the entire gulf region be if we hadn't been involved in the gulf war. Hind site is 20/20.
