**Instead, the battle is about partisanship.**

MN did good to elect Coleman. He gets it!

Here may be another reason why the RATS are not letting this happen. They know that they will not be in a majority for at least 6 more years and it is possible that after the next election they could be a minority till 2010. That is a long time to depend on 51 in floor votes.

Coleman gets it. Unfortunately, Mark Dayton, our socialist Senator from MN, doesn't see it the same way. I e-mailed him through his website expressing my displeasure over the filibuster. I just got a lovely form letter back from him today. Here is the Democrats' party line:

"I intend to vote against Mr. Estrada's nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals, because of my concern of his veracity and his lack of any previous judicial experience...

"I have reviewed portions of the Judiciary Committee hearings, and I can assure you that Minnesotans would not have elected me to the Senate, if I had refused to answer such basic questions, as did Mr. Estrada..." blah blah blah

Please feel free to freep my esteemed Senator Dayton and let him know what the U.S. public thinks about Mr. Estrada's qualifications. His Minnesota office number is 888-224-9043, his Washington number is (202) 224-3244.
