My personal thanks for not posting the title as IRAQIS CROSS KUWATI BORDER. My son should have just touched down there with his group from the 101st. His mother & I are a triffle skittish at the moment.

Your family is in our prayers. May God Speed your son, and keep him. He is a brave son, one of whom you can be proud.

"they don't want to die for Saddam "
---

See, they are smarter than they look.
Most Iraqis WANT to be liberated by the US. They know that Saddam is their enemy, not the US.

What happened to the Iraqi's that surrendered during Desert Storm? Did we ship them off to another land, or something?

My profound thanks and sincere prayers as your son defends us.

I am particularly grateful since I am on the domestic end of this war and have no back-up, no support structure, and no confidence in our civilian emergency preparation for biological or chemical attacks.

The better he does his job... the more secure we really are.

We should send a couple low, screaming jets across Iraq, just to set the mood.

(chuckle)

The Americans put up much less of a fight defending Washington, DC against the British in 1814 than did the French defending Paris against the Nazis in 1940. In fact, the British strolled in nearly unopposed with a mere 5,000 men.

Thank you to you and your family for what your son is doing. Proud but worried for his safe return.

Thank you again.

This military tactic is simply further proof of French involvement in Iraq.

ROFL!

Good point, was thinking the same. The fact that we treated them humanely during Desert Storm means that they will probably surrender even faster this time. Last time, they thought they might be treated very badly when they gave themselves up.

Drudge, as he often does, is yanking this from a Press Association wire report that moves each night with teasers from the next day's UK papers.

The story of Iraqi soldiers surrendering is going to be in the Sunday Mirror. So take it with a grain (or block) of salt.

SURRENDER: Terrified Iraqi soldiers have crossed the Kuwait border

Once again, we are promised themother of all battles. I mean the grandmother of all battles. Or, possibly, the great nephew of all battles. Would you believe the second cousin? Twice removed? On his wife's side.
