I took lunch during his tv show so that i could watch it.
the critics are off the mark. they talk about how dreadful the show was and what? brokaw, rather, etc. are better? Please.
the show was cutting edge. with video footage and opinion that i never thought i'd see on tv in my lifetime.
regarding his attire, standing, taking calls and introducing too many topics...i just hope that he continues to produce this great show and doesn't take any of that advice because I like that he does whatever he wants, that's freedom.
when he pulled out the bible, i gasped. when he put on those goggles to read his book, i laughed.
I thought he was overwhelmingly calm and poised, polite and courteous.
Regarding cutting off callers, come on! At least he has open lines. Network and cable programming ignores over half the population with their biased reporting.
the video footage was great and i think was his team get on the same page and run footage at the proper time he is speaking, this will be a watershed show.
loved the video of the illegal immigrants climbing over a wall into the country, the looked like trolls in Lord Of The Rings storming the castle.
It's great that he just talks over callers after they've made their main point. This is a big criticism of mike, but let's face it, callers are bores who think they know it all.
this show won't fail. it's too controversial. to bash immigration and affirmative action on the first show? those are the real SACRED COWS that need to be taken on by a new generation of satirists.
i was spellbound after the show and went back to work excited about the potential of it. i can't wait for next week!

thanks for your summation...drat(!) that I don't pay to get MSNBC and so was not able to see it. Sounds like it was startlingly and refreshingly honest and fun!

Ditto to your comments.
I thought Dr. Savage's TV program content was refreshing. He verbalizes my feelings on a lot of topics.
Now, whenever I feel like leaning out the window and shouting, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore," instead I will turn in to The Savage Nation and say "right on!".

I agree about the goggles......um glasses. When I saw him wearing those things I laughed out loud. As other people have said, he has a face for radio but at least he is better looking that Alan Combs. I can't wait until the next show.

You don't tell me what to do. Get that straight.
As I stated, I offered advice privately in a previous thread. This time I posted my advice.
You admonish me to "don't do it again" and "let it go" yet it is you who continue the battle and belittle me as a little man simply because I tried to help someone with some useful advise.
I say to you madam: Hard cheese!

Well here it is almost 5 1/2 hours after the show and people are still checking in. Thought I'd take a look and see what is said. I hope Mike has a long TV career and is a household name soon.

I agree with you - let Michael create.
There are creators and there are immitators. Some of the Freepers here were trying to "help", to suggest better ways to immitate popular formats.
Wouldn't it be funny if a year from now Savage' style is immitated by all new shows?

I find it odd that this 33 year old college student who says she maintains a 4.0 GPA cannot even write a sentence...not really that odd. Talk to college graduates and their professors, read their textbooks, and then ask general questions. Pathetic as it is, the norm is just above elementary school and just below high school compared to the time I went to school. If I ever needed to seek employment, one of the highlights of my vita would be that I was educated in the 50s and 60s before the standards were really degraded.
