I just saw the clip again and what Janeane Garafolo actually said was that this administration was "the least capable...of listening to its constituents" or something like that, rather than "the least competent ever".
I just wanna be fair. ;P

Oh, they might also get their names in the paper for pulling this stunt.Which is the entire reason for pulling this stunt in the first place.
They got the publicity they wanted and didn't even have to put their manicures at risk.

Perhaps some of these disrobers are still in the closet, as it were. Maybe someone could approach them, find out their personal information, as a good reporter does, and report their activities - including pictures, where it would do the most good. Like, at work, to their acquaintances, parents, prospective clients, etc. Undoubtedly, this would make at least one or two of them very sorry they performed in such a manner in the anonymity of a group.
After all, they made the news, right? Maybe they should be Always_accountable.

These people needed media attention so badly. I cannot believe the walking egos!

I am trying not to laugh, but the truth is, I have had this great big you-know-what- grin on my face ever since reading your opening post thru out relishing every post and hooting like some nutcase and now my facial muscles are beginning to revolt! Like smiling for a photo shot that never seems to happen. The contributors to this thread, along with the DC FReepers-are flat out hysterical! What ROFLOL commentary! (And with the exception of the pink lady assault on Kristinn and Tgsl-what an absolute HOOT this event was!
A part of me hopes President Bush and crew got wind of this and also shared some laughter. Our nation could use a bit of levity just now-no? :^)
I mean NOW is marching is support of a rapist (plus torturer)-oh put some ICE on that-yet again? First defending bill clinton the rapist and now defending Saddam? ouch! This is one confused and nutcase organization. Geeeeeeeeez.
This is too much! I wish I could have followed it live.
Was it raining there? At the very least, windy? Just a tiny bit miserable?
Many kudos for the ever alert and terrific DC Freepers. There are no people like you on earth. Loved the signs....and most of all...loved the directions to the march in your opening post! Hehe. The DC FReepers are also very very bad! :^)

Another Update -- They didn't leave until a short while ago!
This from Kristinn and tgslTakoma:
Nofel Al-Jazairi (he was with the Iraqi-American Council group on stage at the Patriots Rally on March 1) and his son came down to join the FReepers around 4:30 p.m. We gave him one of our megaphones and he addressed the Code Pink protesters as they assembled to form a symbolic human chain around the White House.
He was very well received by people who stopped and listened to his comments. For the most part, though, the protesters didn't want to hear him. They asked, "How much did you pay him to say that?"
One woman was laughing at and mocking everything Nofel Al-Jazairi said. She was shocked that she was chastised by tgslTakoma. tgslTakoma used her megaphone and told the woman that she had no conscience. She was laughing at this man's and his family's pain and suffering at the hands of Saddam and how could she sleep at night? The woman was upset to be singled out and told that she should be ashamed of herself for mocking him.
Many were invited to come speak to Nofel about his personal experiences under the tyranny of Saddam Hussein. There were no takers.
There was one male protester who was persistent, but no one wanted to talk to him. He kept trying to engage tgslTakoma when Nofel's son spoke up and told him, "Look, she said she doesn't want to talk." When the protester ignored him, Nofel's son told him, "We're her bodyguards and you need to leave."
According to tgslTakoma, there were two ladies carrying Raelian signs; tgslTakoma asked them, "Did you guys strip for peace?" One of the ladies said "No, there weren't enough of us."
RodgerD showed up as Saddam. He had a mask and green shirt and thanked all the protesters for their support and waved at them.
All told, the DC FReepers were moved 5 times. The last location was outside the barriers and yellow police tape and that made it more confrontational than other counterprotests.
There will be more additions to this thread later when all the participants are home again. Please check back later for more detailed stories and pictures.

A CHICAGOLAND BUMP!

So THAT's what happened. I couldn't make the 11:00 meeting, and arrived at the W.H. at 1145, hoping to find the gang. I mosied around the W.H. complex until 1:30, didn't see any pinkoes, so I left to go shopping.
There was a group loudly protesting government support of abortion in front of the White House, in the favorite tourist spot for pictures on Pennsylvania Avenue, but they were anti-Bush as well, so I ignored them.

Great Job!!! I love Saddam thanking the crowd for their support!
Hey Dan, do you think we can pull this off in Lansing? I'll leave the kids at home and avoid Mount Clemens!

The pictures must be pretty darned amusing.

tgslTakoma asked them, "Did you guys strip for peace?" One of the ladies said "No, there weren't enough of us." LOLOL...

Thanks for doing the live reports.
We had a great time today making the Code Pink-Os miserable by shining the light of hypocrisy on their consciences.
Many of them did not react well at all to being exposed as hypocrites posing as caring for Iraqi women and children. In addition to the four assaults, numerous middle fingers and lots of swearing were directed toward us.
Every once in awhile we had a decent conversation with an "anti-war" protester, but for the most part their interactions with us were ugly.
The guy who assaulted me was the brother of a young woman who was upset about the sign I was carrying: "Code Pink Supports The Rape Of Iraqi Women By Saddam's Torturers" b/w "Saddam Tortures Iraqi Children."
The young woman, who was arguing with me along with her young female friend, grabbed for the sign first but failed to wrest it from me. Her brother then grabbed the sign with both hands, pulled hard and stepped back. I stepped with him and pulled the sign back without letting go of it.
The police wouldn't do anything because their priority at that time was guarding the entrance to the White House grounds from a stampede by the "peace" protesters.
A reporter from Time magazine saw the whole thing and took my number for an interview later.
After the third assault, Raoul started saying over the megaphone, "I'm tired of being assaulted by peace protesters. Stop the left wing violence."
We were glad Nofel and his sons were able to stand with us. They are living proof of what the stakes are in Iraq. Nofel told those who would listen to him that 99% of the Iraqi people will welcome the American military with open arms. I'm not sure if their minds were changed right away, but he gave them something serious to think about.

I'm sorry we missed you. There were alot of people milling about in front of the White House--alot of them wearing pink. We found JVb there, but couldn't find you.
We were hoping you might see our American flags in the distance. We'll be doing something next week. We'll try to keep you better informed.

Those pink ladies don't think too highly of Iraqi men, do they? First Aziz and now Nofel are "paid actors".
These women are too delusional to be walking around without orderlies and nurses standing by.
To: hellinahandcart
The pictures will come later tonight. We've got some more work to do.
One thing that surprised me was that a couple of the Pinkniks congratulated us on having the b***s to stand in opposition to the peace march. They know their crowd, that's for sure!

Speaking of delusional, I had a long talk with a 17-year-old boy who was completely brainwashed into communism. It was really sad hearing him spout the Marxist line without any basis in logic like a cultist.
As we shooks hands to say goodbye, he told me he couldn't believe he was shaking hands with a "Capitalist."

I have been wondering what all this anti-war (actually Anti-Bush) nonsense is going to morph into when Saddam is deposed and the the war ended in less than a month.
I wonder if CNN and CBS will be showing us the Iraqis dancing in the streets and kissing the hands of the liberating coalition forces.
