Terrorism on American soil is nothing new, A CA Guy. Terrorism has was always been a police matter, and it should still be the responsibility of the police.

Terrorism is not a good reason to abandon freedom. Terrorism has always been with us, and always will be, just as any other crime you can name will always be with us.

Oceans don't protect us anymore and technology is more easily accessible.
You can practically walk into a library and get information about building a nuclear device.
There is also tens of millions financing Islamic terrorism.
That makes them capable of buying a lot more damage than lets say Charles Manson.
