The Lafayette Flag Brigade of Lafayette,CA. invites all those who wish to support our troops to our rally/tribute at the El Curtola Bridge on TUESDAY, MARCH 11, from 3-6 p.m. We meet every 11th of every month and have been doing this since 9-11-01.

SPECIAL NOTE: The CHP has lately been challenging our first amendment right to express ourself at this overpass. We have carefully followed all laws and regulations with regards to the flag display for 18 months with no problems. They don't like the banner displays at other overpasses from the Left, but have met resistance from those who stand up for their free speech. However, the CHP thinks that WE can be easily persuaded. Unfortunately for them, that pesky Constitution and Bill of Rights seems to get in the way every time.

Help us stand up for OUR right of self expression too! We will be exercising the right to wave a flag in support of our troops at Old Glory Overpass. Please join us by standing up for the Red White and Blue.

Directions: We are close to the 680/24 split in Lafayette. Exit Hwy 24 at Pleasant Hill Rd. Go South towards Rossmoor. Turn Left at Old Tunnel Rd. Take Old Tunnel to El Curtola.

I went to my first Lafayette Flag Brigade last month...Wow! What a great time! No anti-war slime in your face. Just good old American flags and support for our Troops!

That picture was taken on March 11, 2002, or the 6 mo. anniversary of 9-11. This March 11th will be 1 1/2 years since 9-11.
