I say, Jack Straw for Secretary General of the UN! -- and not Bill Clinton. Sadly, I think we are doomed to get Clinton though.

I thought citizens of countries belonging to the "permanent five" of the Security Council cannot be Secretary General. Oh, wait, this is the U.N. we're talking about. They'll just change the rules.

Sec'y General of the UN will be a good job for Pee Wee Clinton. As soon as we abandon it, him and Kofi can play marbles in the hallways.

So what? France has made it clear that it will single-handedly assist the UN in committing suicide. If US/UK put a resolution forward finding Iraq in violation of 1441 and France vetos -- that's it. Game over. The US will do what we gotta do and we will walk. If we keep a delegate in the UN it will be for show only. Never again will a UN resultion have any meaning and we won't give money, troops or anything else (we might let them hang onto the swell uptown address).

Let Clinton take over the dead hag. Can you imagine how history will note that? "Bill Clinton led a now-emasculated UN in its final days." What could be better for a man who only cares about how history will judge him?

Bill Clinton can't be Secretary-0General of the U.N. unless they change the rules and allow him to become that. I hope that the U.N. would show some backbone and not change the rules. But who knows?

Wouldn't it be great if Clinton was made Sec. General, and then the U.S. withdrew form the UN? What a slap in the face that would be to the sinkmaster.
