In a rare event, President Bush held a prime time press conference where he not only took several questions from the media about Iraq and North Korea, but also spoke about the recent arrest of Khalid Sheik Mohammed. The President reiterated several times that it was his job as President and Commander-in-Chief to protect the American people. Since the UN resolution 1441 clearly states that Saddam Hussein must disarm, and the UN doesn't seem to want to enforce the same resolution they unanimously approved, Bush said that the US and a coalition of other countries will disarm Hussein. Earlier in the day, The President also spoke briefly to a small audience about healthcare. Bush also the National Medal of Arts Recipients ceremony at the White House. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I look at these pictures and I can't help but feel an awesome amount of proud for this man. Typing this doesn't even begin to capture how proud I am of him. I'm overflowing with pride for George W. Bush, and I didn't even see the speech.
Thank you GOD, for GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!!!!!!! You have made me so PROUD!

I am so glad you printed that part of his speech. What a good man he is, and it's wonderful to know he feels the power of our prayers. It's moving to know he takes comfort in this.

He was fantastic. I don't think it was easy for him, and his appearance reflects the burden he bears. But he is not one to fool around with, as so many are learning.
Appreciated the way he put globalism and the UN in their places. The US does not need UN approval to defend itself.
God help us though, if the US he is strengthening gets into the hands of the likes of Lady McBeth on the Hudson.

You too! Guess what? There are two very cool cows behind my new house. The house is in a subdivision, but three of the houses back up to a little ranchette. I can look out my back windows at the cows grazing -- two horses out there too, but I know you're a cow person. Moo!

The way Helen Thomas treated Ari today was deplorable. No, I don't blame him, at all; but what did she do now? (I did read somewhere that she complained about the President not making himself available for press conferences....did she say that today?.....I'm cubicle-bound during the day.)

I was at work when Mr. Bush spoke, so I'm looking forward to reading the transcript and the comments on FR. In the breakroom at work, Larry King was on, and the first person Larry interviewed about the speech was Bob Woodward.
BOB WOODWARD?! Who the hell cares what BW thinks? He was blabbering that "there was a lot of repetition in the speech". Get real, Bobby! We're in a fight against terrorism for our lives and our country!

I heard a collective stroke among the Dems when he said he put his hand on the Bible and swore an oath. I bet the Dems didn't even realize that they *HAVE* to place their hand on the Bible.
