I don't get that impresssion at all. I think he is doing fine and I like this low-key, somber approach. It is appropriate.
We are approaching war, and if he was enthusiastic and happy, it wouldn't be good.
He is appropriate and firm.

Now talking about the importance of prayer. I'm very proud of my President and I will continue to pray for him.

AND I love the fact that he is not ashamed to pronounce his faith. My family is one of those he will never know who pray for him every day.

the President clarified his position on N.Korea.
No, I've heard him say several times that N Korean crisis can be handled without invasion or military action. I guess that makes him a "surrender monkey." Because that's what people call me when I say that Iraq crisis can be handled by the "Bush policy" -- ie the "Bush policy viz N Korea"

I have decided to ignore the nay-sayers around here who are "critiquing" his every emotion/gesture/voice inflection.
THIS MAN more than likely has just finalized his plans for war which I believe will start by next saturday...a decision he does not take lightly and is probablly weighing heavily on his heart and mind.
He has proved to us time and time again, he does not take his job lightly.
I say poo-poo to those who were looking for a drop dead bombing speach...plently of time ahead for those to come.

Is that an exact quote. People on this thread are annoying....they let themselves get carried away by rumors today and then complained that Bush isn't doing some stellar speech when it is a PRESS CONFERENCE

THE TIME FOR TALK IS OVER! THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!There's always one guy in the outfit who can't hold his water and tonight it looks like you.
To: churchillbuff
The N Korean people can be d-mned, I guess, they don't need "liberation" or "regime change". If you'll shut up til the President finishes, I'll be glad to try to explain it to you.

"I'm not going to explain it to you right now
I'm not surprised - because nobody can explain it. Again, I think it's because North Korea doesn't have oil -- either that, or it's because North Korea isn't in the book of revelation (which is what motivates the Bible folks against Iraq)."
It's called realpolitik.
NK is a much more dangerous threat (NBC weapons and 10,000+ artilleries aimed at Seoul, ready to fire) and we will address that cancer sooner or later (just as we will Communist China).
But first we need to take care of the festering ones like Iraq first (NK wannabes), so that when we take care of the NK's of the world, we are doing so on our timeframe and not having to deal with the Iraq's of the world simultaneously then.

You are treading on MY turf, without knowing where the mines are.
You are simply not knowledgable on this topic and for the sake of the 100,000 American CIVILIANS living and working on South Korea, I have to tell you that Bush is handling this exactly right.
You need to educate yourself before you come back onto my turf again.
