Great minds.......:o) It took me a long time to seperate ultralight camping from "survival". BTW I forgot to mention that I carry a small section of a diamond coated hacksaw blade that I also have filed to use as a spear point on a pole spear,... back side is sharpened to razor duty and the small back edge has a gut hook that I ground into it. Added a small lanyard hole. Great little tool for catching, cleaning, dressing game and fish.

Also all my shoe and boot laces have been changed to 550 para cord that I fire whip and as they come in different colors it works in all my shoes and boots as a emergency source of line for gill nets , sewing repairs and such.

Like you I have adopted the para cord shoelaces. My Leatherman PST has a file that can cut metal in a pinch, My lockback knife will do as a spear point.
