Sorry for the Vanity, but I have sent this note to as many ships that I know of that are the Gulf. If anyone would like to do the same, it will be greatly appreciated. I will do likewise with the other branches of the Armed Forces, when I can find their addresses.
Please pass this along to as many sailors as you can.
My name is ------. I am from ---------. I served in the Air Navy (Reserves) in the early 1970's, during the Vietnam war. I know from personal experience how disheartening it is when you feel that the folks back home don't support you or your efforts. I write this letter to let you know that the vast majority of Americans do support you and your efforts. It is hard to see that from a ship, because most of the News you see or read appear negative. That is because of the personal views of each of these TV Channels or newsprints are biased against action by anyone, and have their own agenda. Rest assured, if we go to war, this action will be compared to Vietnam. Whether you agree or disagree about Vietnam, this is no Vietnam. If we have conflict, it will be justified and moral. If you hear any negative comments, please keep a stiff resolve, and accomplish your mission with the knowledge that the vast majority of Americans are with you. We will pray for your safety and success on a daily basis. Thank you for defending America, myself and my family.
Sincerely,
That photo is linked to the site you provided so that we all can buy those yard signs for $19.95.
Do you listen to 96.9FM Talk from Boston? I love Jay Severin (most of the time) and O'Reilly & Laura Ingraham.
Take Care and buy those yard signs ;)
