From February 26 - March 3, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,232 American voters, with a margin of error of +/- 2.8 percent. 

An ABCNEWS/Washington Post Poll, conducted during the same period, pegs Bush's job approval much higher, at 62%.

Interesting that two different polls done duirng the same time period have a wide difference in % approval of the President.

My hunch is that Quinnipac skewed their poll in the liberal metropolitan areas of the NE.
