Maybe I can expand on your analogy. You are on main street with a huge tank aimed at a building. You are trying to smoke 45 people out of the building. Your strategy is to drive your tank right throught he building firing as you go.

The strategy I would like to see is to leave that tank in posistion and get the relatives of the folks in the building to plead and pursuade those in the building to come out "voluntarily".

Your method might work (ie they can run into another building etc) but once you do it the threat loses its impact. My method has the benefit of working with a minimum of damage and whats more I STILL HAVE THE 24/7 OPTION AVAILABLE

I don't know how the Senate list abstaining votes..... I would have thought it would have been listed as an 'abstaining'. Not voting to me connotates not being there...

Was he there? I've seen you post a question about him being on the floor.....

They would call his name regardless to be official. If he didn't answer then he'd be listed as not voting I'd guess. The vote must be in person. Otherwise they'd all send their votes and go do some more fundraisers.... Committees are a different animal and have different rules than the full Senate body.

According to what I've found they list the votes as AYE: NAY: Not Voting......

You know Miguel Estrada received the highest rating from the American Bar Association, served five years in the Clinton Justice Department, pled fifteen cases before the Supreme Court of the United states, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law.

You are in fact in lockstep with the laundry list of liberal special interest groups and obedient to Hillary.
