Nothing to boycott here - she's not done anything relevant in 20 years.

That's stupid, Chrissie. I won't be boycotting her, however, as the first Pretenders album is one of the great ones.

I think our band represents all the great losers of the world

Ofcourse, her brand of "losing" is much more comfortable than the average bloke.

The 2 finger salute she's giving means "F" "U" in the UK, where she's been living for the past 20+ years.

The last time I saw her on television she was wearing a very very short miniskirt, and she looked old and haggard. You can't tell in that photo, but she looks 60 at the least.

She's making note that she and her fans are losers, so they don't care if the lose more.

They like being in the pit of disparity, or better known as masochism.

I will pay for the Pretenders membership, if they really want to experience loss:

gave a shout-out to the late Joe Strummer, opined that she hopes the United States loses if it goes to war with Iraq

Joe Strummer was very pro-America (Bombs over Baghdad, anyone?)

Celebrity Hawks

Bruce Willis, Brian McKnight, Kid Rock, Rob Lowe and Jean-Claude Van Damme are saying things that are undoubtedly making the anti-war crowd steam. On the other hand, the celebrity rhetoric that's coming out of these guys is warming the hearts of the kick-Saddam's-butt bunch.

According to the New York Daily News, Willis seriously thought about enlisting in the U.S. armed services.

Singer Brian McKnight told MSNBC, "If we do go to war ... I'm going to support whatever President Bush decides to do."

Kid Rock colorfully expressed his views by saying, "We got to kill that mother-[bleeper] Saddam. Slit his throat."

Rob Lowe, Sheen's former co-star on "The West Wing," told Fox News Channel that Americans should support our armed forces, and that the best way to do that was to support our commander-in-chief.

And action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme told Globe magazine, "Some of those in Hollywood are part of the axis of ignorance!"

Was always a huge Pretenders fan (two down, two to go?), and vividly remember being in the front row at PSU in 80 or 81 as Chrissie and the gang played our favorite tunes. My buddy Al offered Pete Farndon a Winston, and then threw up the requested doobie, right before he took his wad of chewing gum and stuck it on the nearest speaker. The music was great, we were partying, and Chrissie was hot.

Now I'm a 41 year old father, and still love the music. So of course I enjoy the talents of liberal schmucks whose claim to fame is musical talent, or the ability to pretend they're someone else, while ridiculing their anti-war stances and inability to understand some basic truths. To whit:

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

“A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” - John Stuart Mill

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams
