Glenn Miller. Not Hollywood, but a celebrity none-the-less who went MIA in 1944 when his plane was lost.

I've been searching the Internet. One of the Hollywood types, I thought it was Chester Morris, was a fighter pilot and saw some REAL action! I seem to remember him pictured in front of a HellCat. Naval Aviator?
Any help?
