WPHT To Give More Details On Abusive Maine Teachers and National Guard Kids, More Wide Spread
WPHT 1210 AM WEBSITE ^

Posted on 03/04/2003 5:19:44 PM PST by Doctor Raoul

Right now, Dom Giordano is talking about the USMC Major who chose to deploy with his unit rather than staying behind for his infant's heart transplant operation. He and his wife agreed that he should go because to switch leadership of the Marines he trained would risk lives. The Major's mother is scheduled to be interviewed.

In the later part of the show, the Maine teachers abusing the National Guard kids has some new info. It's more widespread, it's 100 incidents. One was some bitch who denied a kid an absense to see his father leave for deployment. She "put her foot down" and said she'd give him an "unexcused absense" and that there would be "consequences".

I want that name. She deserves public ridicule and scorn.

From the WPHT website: 1210 AM is owned by Infinity Radio, a division of Viacom Corporation. Currently, Infinity does not stream audio from any of its radio stations.

However, 1210 am has 50,000 watts and can be heard in 39 states at this time of night. YOu may have to go to your car to pick it up.

The other day when Rush finally mentioned this, I thought "wow, Rush is JUST NOW hearing this story?" because I had read it two or three days earlier on FR.

But then some dip emailed him and said "Rush, this story has been debunked; it's not even true!" Rush's response was that he had sat on the story a few days to make sure of it, and when he saw that the Washington Times ran it he figured it had "legs."

Well, I went to the Bangor newspaper website, as the Rush emailer claimed that's where the "correction" could be found, and I saw NOTHING about it.

Now, according to this story of yours, it not only has "legs" but they're longer than was first thought.

This doesn't surprise me. Ultimately this is ALL ABOUT those in the "Blue Zone" who hate and despise President Bush, nothing less.

She deserves public ridicule and scorn.

She deserves to be fired and blacklisted. However since she was probably following the letter of the rules, the best we can probably hope for is public ridicule and scorn, followed by her resignation and moving to somewhere else, hopefully also moving to a different type of employment, hopefully maid in a "No Tell Motel".

I want that name too....my son Jonathan, a Junior at Illinois State requested a day of absence from one of his Professors to spend that day with his dad, who was leaving for deployment....attendance is considered as part of the grade.
She actually asked for a copy of my hubby's orders, because she didn't believe him....needless to say, my hubby wrote her a very rude letter telling her where she could contact him..etc......Now, Jonathan has been activated and will have to repeat the semester when he returns...he probably was going to fail that class anyway after the letter my hubby sent...LOL

I am a Maine native and visited there a couple of weeks ago. Small wonder there are teachers like this...the place is overrun with anti-war whiners. Even the state's Republican senators are more in step with Ted Kennedy than the rest of the party.

I don't understand how the teacher herself can give her student an unexcused absence for going to farewell his father to war. Usually the teacher send the notes from the parents to the office with the attendance and the office staff decides whether an absence is excused or not. Sounds to me like the teacher is a real control freak as well as being anti-American.

Maybe they do things differently in Maine. At the schools I went to an “unexcused absence” was something you claimed but had no note to back up. So I could miss classes and tell the attendance office that it was because of a dental appointment, but had no note, and it would be unexcused until I could produce a note signed by a parent/guardian.

We always took notes explaining absences to the attendance office and they wrote the pass for the teacher. You didn’t take a note to the teacher, and the teacher didn’t know what the absence was for – just that it was excused or not depending on how the pass was written. Meanwhile, anything signed by a parent was considered “excused” when I went to school.

She deserves more than that. I'm telling you right now, and this is not hyperbole: If a male teacher did something like that to one of my kids, he and I would have a genuine confrontation. If female, she and my wife would have a genuine confrontation. This crap is over the line, WAY over, and it's high time we fought back.

"She deserves to be fired and blacklisted." No! Ya think? Really?
Actually, she deserves to be fired upon while blindfoldedand blacklisted.

We, as a nation are but a few more such incidents from the common, patriotic Americans taking matters into their own hands... John Ashcroft ARREST that woman... she is a rebel spy and collaborator.

The tree of liberty is apparently needing to be fed.... abroad... and unfortuneatly, at home...

Nowadays, at least in PA and I guess many other states, an "unexcused absence" is one that doesn't fall into any of the school's categories of "legitimate" absences. So, for example, if you send in a note saying that the child was needed at home, or was on a family trip, or had to go see dad leave to go to war, the school will count it as "unexcused." You see, now it's the school that does the excusing, not the parent.

It's BS, of course, and we've defied my daughter's school many times over this.

" The tree of liberty is apparently needing to be fed.... abroad... and unfortuneatly, at home..."

Sadly, I think the tree of liberty is just a stump right now. We have the greatest fighting force assembled to bring democracy and freedom to an oppressed people. The reaction of our nation? Per a FNC poll, 37% would let Sadamn stay in power if he disarmed. Disgusting. The reactions of France, Germany, Belgium and Russia should tell everyone why Stalin was tolerated so long and why Idi Amin was able to sun himself on the French Riviera. Our nation is the last hope for freedom in this world, yet our foolish liberals do not appreciate it. Sadly, I think it will take a nuke in one of our cities to make them realize what they have had, and even then, they will probably still blame us evil conservatives for starting the war.

Since we know at least one of the incidents reffered to happened in Portland, ME and the superintendant there has yet to fire any teacher or public reprimand one I submit the Superintendant of schools should be fired for malfeasence in failure to discipline said educrat publicly
