To: Who dat?
Nowadays, at least in PA and I guess many other states, an "unexcused absence" is one that doesn't fall into any of the school's categories of "legitimate" absences. So, for example, if you send in a note saying that the child was needed at home, or was on a family trip, or had to go see dad leave to go to war, the school will count it as "unexcused." You see, now it's the school that does the excusing, not the parent.

It's BS, of course, and we've defied my daughter's school many times over this.

Now THAT'S the SPIRIT, My Countryman!!!

A little disciplined DEFIANCE in select areas may well be indicated at this point, indeed.

As it was back in 1776 when the whole idea of AMERICA was born.

Given competent Leadership and organization, orchestrated, wide spread Defiance just might accomplish something when other options fail - as they seem to be doing in this case.

I hope that it does not lead to the exchange of live ordnance as it did in 1776 (and a few times since), but it might.

What would you do when "The Man" comes under arms to take your "Truant" Child away from you?

Is that a chance we have to take to save our Country?

Stay Tuned.
