Nope...he [C. Eastwood] sold his soul for an Oscar and came out for GUN CONTROL after he apologized for all the gratuitous violence he's shown in the Dirty Harry series, etc. If true, you just ruined my whole day.

The New Jersey GOP has a site they call REPUBLICAN BABES. I don't know enough html to do a link but it is very cool. Folks you know...and folks you'd never have thought of...and they are all babes! Tasteful shots no nudity, very beautiful women. VERY SMART LADIES, ALL.

From the tone of his questions, I suspect Pat is tooYou don't have to suspect, Pat Sajak is definitely a strong conservative. I'd also add Robert Conrad to the list of actors who are conservative, and of course Delta Burke and her husband, whose name I can't think of at the moment.

From the NJ GOP "Babes" site:
Abortion is a huge disservice to women. On a personal level, as a Christian, it will not be Barbra Streisand Im standing in front of when I have to make an accounting of my life. - Patricia Heaton

Nice list. Dennis Miller's a wonderful addition. He'll love being on a side where he can disagree with Democrats
and with follow Republicans. No Kool Aide drinkers here.
And a special thanks to this man, who understands how painful Streisand's unending hateful remarks can be...
R. Lee Ermey, a former Marine who played the scary drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket: "Once again, Barbra Streisand has opened her alligator-sized mouth wide before her hummingbird brain has had a chance to catch up. Ms. Streisand does not speak for me or many other folks in this business."

Hubby says Robert Duvall--is that true? If so, outstanding!!Yes, reading recent comments he made in interviews about Gods & Generals I'd definitely count him in the anti-Hollywood camp as well.

Ben Stein writes a diary for American Spectator, and it's one of the most moving things you'll read.
He's conservative on Pro-Life, limited gov't and the GOP.
His dad was Herb Stein, one of Nixon's economic advisors.

Hmmmm, I'm no debate moderator, but I'd have to say the above does qualify as a wee bit more than "I think he will be more popular." Why are you doing this? You still have not brought up one point that is going to make George Pataki more popular than he is right now. And by the way, please don't incorrectly attribute quotes to me. I never said "there's no way anyone can beat Guiliani in a NY election," and it is incorrect of you to suggest otherwise. I asked you to outline your reasons why Pataki would become more popular than Guliani in the coming years. Unless we have another world-changing event like 9/11, pointing to the ancient history of the 2000 election and never even mentioning the name George Pataki is not going to impress many debate morderators anyway. I had no intention of getting into a debate in the first place. You incorrectly disputed my point, and you have thus far failed to validate your statement. Tell us what George Pataki is going to do to make himself more popular than Rudy Guliani, or let it go.
Have a lovely evening
Right back at you.

We have to include Shirley Temple on the list. She's not really a Hollywood type now, but she is a strong conservative.

Brad Pitt is no fan of Clinton, but he is not a republican. My guess is he is more a Nader supporter which is even whackier.
I remember him saying harsh things about Clinton, so he at least has some brains.

Harrison Ford is one of those people, who is scared to say what he thinks. At one point he was for regime change in Iraq, when his little buddies pressed him, he clarified he was against Bush too. He's been doing this little act for years. He's not dumb, whenever he has showed even the slightest leaning for a republican view, he has to "clarify" his view.

Nothing like the belief in one's convictions, then.

That's funny -- my 83 year old mother says the same thing about France and Germany that actor Ron Silver says: they weren't with us in 1944, so why would we expect them to be with us now?
To: Bernard Marx
Some people seem to be overlooking the fact that Silver is Jewish. Many liberal Jews are now supporting Bush in the current middle-east conflicts, and some of them are celebrities.
To: Bernard Marx
Re Hillary and Ron Silver as "good guys" right now -- I'll take 'em where I can get 'em.... I know a number of libs who detested GWB before 9/11 and now sing his praises and support our efforts with this Iraq crisis, etc.
I say thanks and good for them!

I don't think Arnold's "conservative" enough for some on Free Republic.... But I think he'd win, too!
