"Hey, Search4Truth, I don't mean to belabor the point, but what do you think about the transcript I posted? He says very clearly that he doesn't talk politics with Sheen because they are of differing views. Did you read it? Just wondering why you are so insistent that he can't have changed, the way Dennis Miller admits he has as well."

I am praying that Mr. Silver has truly seen the light. He is articulate and intelligent and would make an outstanding advocate of Conservatives values. Understandably, I'm suspicious of such conversions. We will see.

These folks are all libertarians or sympathetic to that point of view, so I think they deserve an honorable mention.

Jimmy "JJ" Walker

Edward Herrmann (actor, The Lost Boys and the voice on the Dodge truck commercials)

Kenny Kramer (inspiration for the character on Seinfeld)

Neil Peart (drummer for the legendary rock band Rush)

John Popper (lead singer for Blues Traveler)

"Yeah, I remember that whole, 'those are our planes now,' trash, so I couldn't believe this was really Ron Silver today, but maybe he really had an awakening."

I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. We are a forgiving bunch aren't we. :)

Some of these folks have indeed changed....why it just seems like yesterday that old LBJ used Charlton Heston as his poster boy to shove the gun control act of 1968 down out throats.......yep seems just like yesterday.

Stay Safe CG !

Here's another website trying to make a pro-Bush list:

Celiberal - Celebrity Liberal Blacklist
« Is there a list somewhere of Pro-Bush celebs? »
http://celiberal.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&num=1046099819

I had forgotten about Rick Schroeder.

Be careful about ron silver. He IS a big time lefty, but he does support the taking out of hussein. I think that is the case with a lot of celebs. I don't want my fellow freepers to confuse support for Bush, or pro-American sentiment for being conservative. James Woods comes to mind. He's a liberal, but he's also no bullshit. He hates liberal lies more than anything, and calls them on it.
BTW:
Here are a few more for the list:
Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen's brother (I can't remember his name), Loretta Lynn. BTW Sam Elliott is a democrat. Yes, I was surprised.

Thank you for that great excerpt - I almost stood up and applauded until I realized I was all alone in front of my computer and no one would hear me....

If people want to know if I'm a role model, they should know that I've been married to the same woman for 19 years, I drove my daughter's car pool until she started driving, I help her with her homework. I make up beds, I take out the garbage. I graduated from college, I can read and write. I can speak correctly. I treat everyone with respect. I pay my taxes. I've never been to jail. I think that's the stuff of a role model.

Whether he's a liberal or conservative, Samuel L. Jackson deserve a standing ovation for that. For a man who has had his level of success to keep that kind of perspective is fantastic. Plus, he's a very good actor.

Damn you beat me to it but here's the text:

Here's actor Vince Vaughn's retort to the pro-Saddam Europeans: "I'd say one in three conversations wound up the same way, basically that 'America is the devil.' So I'd ask folks to think about the Marshall Plan a bit and get back to me." Vaughn also describes being told by a European "kid" that "America has no culture." The kid was "wearing a Kobe Bryant T-shirt and listening to rapper DMX."

True. Trust is something earned. But I give Silver credit for making a change after 9-11. I think many Americans were reborn that day as Republicans.

Oh my. He has been on General Hospital and Santa Barbara.. and according to IMDb, posed nude for Playgirl and was a Chippendale dancer in the 1980's.
