Is Fox Losing its' magic?
Posted on 03/03/2003 8:05:01 PM PST by faithincowboys
I love Fox news, don't get me wrong, but don't you think they are fumbling the ball lately. Shep Smith really sucks-- he has been anti-Bush lately. Shep quoted Howell Raines' boy Nicholas Krstoff the other day. Doesn't it look like Hannity wants to beat up Shep every afternoon when Shep says some anti-Bush BS? Also, O'reilly pissed me off a couple of weeks ago when he went after Lynne Cheney like she was Hillary. Funny how the liberal pundits treat the evil Hill like she walks on water, and the so-called conservative O'Reilly was a pit bull with Cheney's wife. Anybody else notice this?

Those three on the weekend Fox Morning show can take a hike IMO. I refuse to watch them. I went to CNN for the shuttle coverage as well. Breaking News I learned a long time ago is better on CNN or even MSNBC.
This morning Doocey was calling Senator Chambliss "Saxby" instead of Senator. I know it is minor but that got on my nerves too. Just as Rather and his referencing Mr. Bush instead of President Bush does.
And I refuse to listen to shows where people yell! I see no point in that at all.

To all folks on this thread, in the interest of clarification, I enjoy fnc and know that it is important to
changing the zeitgeist in our direction. Roger Ailes is a true patriot. at the end of the day, they kick a lot of liberal tail, however, we must remain vigilant. btw, if shep smith left fnc to work on the game show network me and my inner child would get over it. o'reilly is at his best when he slams the europeans, but what he did to L. Cheney and his slamming of jeb to rnc chairman marc raccicot (re: rilya wilson) on the night before the 2002 midterms will not be forgotten anytime soon.

There is only one network that shows how mean-spirited and unpatriotic the Democrat politicians are and how hateful the rank and file liberals are, including those who phone in pretending to be disgruntled Republicans and those calling on the "Other's Line" pretending to be independents. That network includes the C-SPAN I and C-SPAN II channels. C-SPAN exposes those America hating liberals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in their Congressional coverage and in their call-in segments.

you're preaching to the choir. i hate the liberal media.
cnn/abc/nbc/cbs/msnbc-- why do we have france's media?
i am in a constant state of pissed off due to the biased media. in war time they are more than vexing, they are downright dangerous. why oh why are our media, the french and iraqi thug officials always on the same page of talking points? i'm exasperated!!!

During the day recently I have turned to MSNBC for news which pains me to say except half of MSNBC is now over on Fox! And I thought I was the only one doing that...

I am currently watching former Cong Joe Scarborough on MSNBC right now. I love his new show. He tells it like it is. He just discussed the Useless, out of touch UN!

I agree with the fact checking. This is one way FOX will go down. When you show a picture of a B-52 and call it a spy plane, it is a little much. Someone needs to really get on top of this at FOX.
I also am getting sick and tired of the same brain dead libs spouting today's faxed talking points instead of engaging in discussion. When they come on I switch the channel to a movie.

I am with you 100%. B-52 as a spy plane? That's really sad that they don't recognize a plane that has been around forever. That irritates me as well. Not checking is facts is one of my pet peeves with the media and most are easily checked out!
I either watch a movie or sports depending on the night when liberals start spouting and shouting!

You ever wonder where the phrase "No comments from the peanut gallery" comes from?
I don't know [I briefly searched] but the upshot is that one should refrain from critizing a given subject when only observing from the sidelines [the gallery].
Of course all of us here on the 'net observe that rule....not :)
So we here have the same situation.
FOX is the best we got going for sure; yeah, they pounce too soon now and then - but they're still my No. 1
Go live at CNN if you like, although MSNBC is getting better day by day, their Iraq coverage is really good.
[PS] I sort of think Shep garbles the 'prompter on purpose sometimes, it's a hoot, did you see the J LO clip?....he meant to say J LO wouldn't get a curb job [she's from Brooklyn], meaning she wouldn't be booted out from her old neighborhood cuz she's famous....but instead he said she wouldn't get a blow job....what a riot
