I hate when this happens. You've enjoyed a number of roles an actor has performed, only to find out... Well here goes
The infobabe on Fox News just reported that Harrison Ford wanted to set the record straight regarding his support for Bush's efforts on the impending war with Iraq. Through his publicist Ford stated that he support regime change. He wants it in both nations, Iraq and the United States.
Harrison's stock just went to zero in my book.
Over an out...

Well if he said that then there's another actor who's movies I won't be paying to see.
To: DoughtyOne
What a shame... His publicist should have recommended he said this:
"It is not my position to mix politics and my career."
But nobody ever said these elitists are smart.

He's dating Ally McBeal. I think that qualifies him for lock up in a mental ward.

As long as he does not get nasty and personal, more power to him.
It is when they start with the ad hominem attacks is where I draw the line.
If a person does not vote for who I vote, fine, this is America.
If they call my candidate or position stupid, screw them.

At this rate, I may be able to catch up on my reading.

Why cant these brain dead "celebrities" JUST SHUT UP !!!
Nobody cares what they think about anything. But they keep butting in to tell us anyway.
JUST SHUT UP ALL OF YOU!!!
To: DoughtyOne
I knew Harrison Ford had gone over to the dark side when he started wearing an earring in one ear. An obvious attempt to seem hip and groovy, and young.

That is disappointing, but we've still got Mel Gibson and Arnie.

Looks like Luke should have left Han frozen. His brain did not thaw.

The movie biography of Ally:

To: Bluntpoint
There are general principles and there are defining moments. When push comes to shove and your nation has to go to war to blunt the al Qaeda and Taliban networks, the axis of evil and terrorists world wide, you'd think a man would be counted on to stand up for his nation. This is one of those times and I cannot respect Harrison Ford's statement on this.
If he were a man of principle I'd say fine, this is the way he feels and I must accept it. Where was Harrison during the eight years of the Clinton regime? Dear Harrison was silent as a church mouse as Clinton shat on this nation's political, judicial systems and national traditions.
Nope Harrison doesn't rate my box office fees any longer.

I saw a picture of him in some magazine, he looks very, very old. Trying to look young when you are as old as he is, is just plain stupid.

Yes, the earing thing. I had forgotten about that, but this is no surprise. He was always at the Spielberg fundraisers for clinton/gore.
To: veronica
Funny you mention that. I'd forgotten that I'd noticed the same thing and felt the same way you did. Just grow older with some grace and forget being Mr. Hipster.

I would not pay to see another movie either. That said, I don't hate him for his beliefs, no matter how asinine they seem to me.
The other side hates us for what we believe. I don't want to be like them.
To: xJones
Bruce Willis and James Woods as well. Bruce has a new movie out soon and it looks pretty decent.
To: DoughtyOne
Oh, great.
And this from a guy who protrayed a U.S. President hijacked by terrorists. [Air Force One]
I guess he really can act.
