Ten Years and No Progress In Liberal Effort to Combat Rush Limbaugh

Have you seen the media reaction to this "virtual march on Washington," which urged people to shut down the government with e-mails, FAXes and phone calls? The media fawned all over this, reminding us of the EIB's early days when I was routinely - and 100% falsely - criticized for urging my listeners to stage such protests. Example: my August 1993 interview with Steve Roberts of U.S. News and World Reports.

As I recount in the audio below, Roberts thought I was one of these rabble-rousers. I debunked the idea by showing what would happen if I simply told listeners to call Congress, which I had never done. You people shut down the switchboard. If I did that all the time, imagine what would've happened. Yet the virtual protest is praised for doing what they wrongly accused us of doing! Roberts: "For three hours a day on the radio, and a half-hour on television, he owns the microphone and can say anything he wants without answering questions or encountering a critic." So? It's America!

"Few political figures worry the [Clinton] White House more - and with good reason. As one administration communications expert put it, 'We, the Democrats generally, the liberals generally, do not have anything that rivals Rush Limbaugh.'" Then this: "Rep. Bill Heffner, a North Carolina Democrat and former radio broadcaster says, 'This thing scares me. There are so many cable channels and talk shows now and they're nothing but negative attacks on institutions, especially government at all levels. Why, it's getting to the point where we're not able to govern anymore.'"

Not able to govern anymore? Come on! This was the level of paranoia - right about the time President Clinton rang up KMOX radio to rant about me. This has been going on for ten years, right up to all these recent stories in the New York Times about the quest for a liberal Limbaugh! In all that time, Fox and Drudge have sprung up, and they still don't get it! Salon magazine is going under, and they're blaming conservatives! They're all blaming me, instead of looking at the flaws in their own ideology.

A number of months have now passed since the United States Senate failed in its Constitutional Duty to uphold and protect the sanctity of the Office of the Presidency of the United States, by sleep-walking through a sham Impeachment Trial and thereby allowing a blatant Perjurer, Obstructer of Justice, and out-and-out lowlife to retain the once-revered Oval Office. While this failure was indeed disappointing to millions upon millions of patriotic Americans accross this great land of ours, it will ultimately prove invaluable in targeting specific Effete Elite Senators for future removal from elected office. Senators who believe elected officials are above the Laws they themselves enact have no business retaining their Seats of Power, and they will be dealt with in due time. However, the immediate crisis facing this Nation is the indisputable fact that its highest elected official is not only a proven Felon, but we have since learned you are an alleged Rapist (Juanita Broaddrick and others), an Abuser of Power (IRS-Gate, File-Gate, the dog-wagging Kosovo Massacre, and the heretofore under-reported manipulation of the National Media), and a bought and paid-for Communist-Chinese Traitor to the national interests of the American People. And let no one forget--least of all the Rosenbergs--that TREASON is at the very least an IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE!!

This, of course, will not stand! The wheels of justice may turn all-too-slowly for this man's taste, but they are already turning in preparation for the Re-Impeachment of you, William Jefferson Clinton. Senators who are already on record as approving of a Felon in the Oval Office will soon be presented with the opportunity to weigh in on whether or not they support a TREASONOUS TYRANT whose acceptance of bribes from the Red Chinese Military Leadership--and the "quid-pro-quo" sale of sensitive nuclear technology to same--has resulted in an increasingly dangerous future for all Americans (and an expensive new Cold War with our #1 Geopolitical Foe going into the next Millenium)!! And please realize that, if 34 Democratic Senators vote in defense of your TREASON, it will serve as a well-deserved death-knell for the once-honorable Democratic Party...and we'll still convict you and dispatch you from office after the congressional Balance of Power has been dramatically altered on 7 November 2000!!

However, for the good of the Country--and the Office of the Presidency--we in the so-called "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy" for Justice are willing to give you one last chance to do what you should have done well over a year ago...RESIGN!! RESIGN before Labor Day '99 and we on the Right may find it in our hearts to curtail the inevitable March To Justice somewhere short of your wasting away the rest of your days calling some Bubba "Schnook'ems" in a 7'x10' honeymoon suite in some Federal Penitentiary. Of course, Hell'ry could still make conjugal visits...LOL! Just blame me, if you'd like, a self-proclaimed "Right-Wing Zealot!" for your premature flight from office. Perhaps you can even "spin it" in such a way as to get you some sympathy points and improve the electoral chances for both Algore AND your wife... nice legacy, by the way...ROFLMAO! Sure, you'll have to give up your Presidential Pension and, of course, you'll be disbarred, but most likely your jailtime can be kept to a few short years. After all the pain and embarrassment you have thrust upon your wife and daughter, will you not spare them the ignominy and pain of having a husband or father rotting away the rest of his once-promising life in prison for TREASON?! For if you do not RESIGN soon, I--and many others--will do everything in our considerable power to guarantee you that the inevitable Tsunami of Justice will proceed as follows:

Dear Fellow FReepers and Jim Robinson--
I have a confession to make. On Thursday, the 29th of July, I posted an "Open Letter to the POTUS" that I indicated had already been sent to the White House with a copy of Mudboy Slim and the Libertarians' third 60-minute cassette, "A Lust Fer Justice." The letter was admittedly--and purposefully-- harsh, and included some pretty fiery rhetoric about the VRWC "sparing" Bill Clinton's life from an Execution for Treason, if he were to RESIGN by Labor Day of this year. A slew of responses ensued and I did my best to re-assure everyone that I in no way intended that I nor anyone else take Justice into our own hands, but after over 20 posts in what seemed like no time...the thread disappeared from the website.

Later, Mr. Robinson e-mailed me to explain that he pulled the post as, in his judgement, it could be "construed" that I was threatening the well-being of the President. Of course, on this site, JR's the boss, and I accept his verdict, but in my e-mail response to him I explained--in no uncertain terms--that I would never even contemplate such a radical act, nor would I encourage anyone else to do so. In fact, I would go so far as to say that--if there were ever to be an attempt on the Traitor-in-Chief's life--this asinine, cowardly, and immoral act (not unlike the assassination of JFK) would most likely come from some disaffected member of the Left or some other martyr-making Leftist sick and tired of the damage Slick Willie's caused his Party. The Right, on the other hand, needs Slick Willie alive in order to exact the Justice he has coming to him!!

The letter above is actually the one that was sent to the White House, and it actually wasn't dropped in the mail until this afternoon. Thanks in no small part to JR and a couple other FReeper friends, the "Open Letter to the POTUS" has been toned down significantly...BUT THE PURPOSE REMAINS THE SAME!! RESIGN BY LABOR DAY '99, SLICK WILLIE, OR PREPARE TO FACE THE WRATH OF....MUD

I admire Mr. Robinson for his willingness to provide a conservative forum. Sadly, this forum does little to diminish the impacts of the issues to which freepers respond.

Do we intend to simply continue to satisfy our need to express our outrage by useless postings? At what point do we direct this common spirit into political (and non-violent) activism? I envision a future post that says “Hillary provides nukes to Bin Laden” and the Freeper response would be limited to posting a thousand I-Hate-Hillary posts. What is our threshold, if not the current events? What will it take to get us organized into productive action?

For example, the threads accurately suggesting that Clinton was treasonous seem to indicate that there is a general belief in gross, criminal wrongdoing and crimes against the state. But if we believe that, why are we content with only posting? Yes, we all agree about the issue, but isn’t Clinton lucky to have critics who conduct their responses to crime by complaining in cyber space?

I like Bush, but I remain angry with him and with Ashcroft for not directly pursuing these Clinton’s. As a result, Bush has perpetuated the Clinton damage that the whole world sees. Such completely awful Clintonian behavior has not only gone unpunished, it has been rewarded by the United States. Bush was elected to restore dignity – and to clean up. He has not exhibited signs of acting against those who soiled the nation – the Clintons. Why?

Now we must come together to demand Bush acknowledge the mandate to move against the Clintons. America seeks an assessment of blame, and the Clintons, in their arrogance, have provided an obvious solution. Recent incidents have raised the public perception (and disgust) about Clintonian evil.

Bill, as a former war protesting draft dodger and former Commander-in Chief, publicly blames America for terror inflicted upon it. Hillary, as senator of the state where terror struck, when greeted by a crowd that she was unable to hand-pick and control, is nationally booed by the people that allegedly voted for her, exposing that the true public despises her. Chelsea, as a brainwashed idiot, has been recently exposed as both a fool and a liar.

Public awareness of Clintonian evil is growing. At a minimum, Clinton’s should all be stripped of pension and protection based on their anti-Americanism. At a midpoint, they should be imprisoned for civil and criminal acts. At full measure , the Clinton clan should be tried, convicted, and punished as traitors.

Jim, it is your forum, and you have a huge and growing following. You have achieved recognition on almost all conservative news outlets. Can you somehow develop an effective action committee? Isn’t our collective inaction tantamount to tacit approval, or is it something far worse?

The Enemy Within

Recently I have noticed a cooling of fervor among the media and talking heads on television. They are criticizing our president’s handling of the war and act as if we had already lost. It makes me want to throw up when I hear some self proclaimed intellectual or expert who barely has enough practical sense to tie his shoes criticizing people like Donald Rumfeld and Colin Powell who have been there and done that. These puffed up chowder heads know as much about fighting a war as a hog knows about an airplane. Yet they sit back in their lofty ivory towers and remind us every time a civilian gets killed in Afghanistan what a terrible thing we’re doing to their country. Wake up you detestable gas bags, if this war goes on for ten years we’ll never kill as many Afghans as the Taliban has. We will be doing the Afghan people a tremendous favor getting rid of these self righteous thugs who beat women with sticks and execute anyone who doesn’t believe the same way they do. How dare you bunch of overeducated cabbage heads try to make the citizens of this country think that we’re losing the war in Afghanistan. We’ve barely gottn started and if we were the same kind of people that you idiots are, the war would have been over the first couple of days because we would have dropped a couple of neutron bombs and come back home. But that’s not the kind of people we are. We are humane and caring and take every precaution we can to keep from hurting innocent people. It’s just a sad fact that there will always be innocent people hurt and killed in wars. It’s bound to happen but we don’t need you self aggrandizing pimple brains to keep on reminding us how deplorable it is. We know already. We know because of the carnage we suffered in New York and Washington on September 11th. When I see one of you draft card burning love and peace flower children spouting off about what we are doing in Afghanistan or criticizing our government for their efforts on the home front I’d like to pick you up by the nap of your soft neck and shake you like a bulldog shakes a rat. Don’t you people realize what you’re doing? Don’t you realize that there is nothing short of absolute victory acceptable in this war? Don’t you know or care that if we don’t finish this we will leave a world to our children and grandchildren a world we don’t even want to think about? Can you imagine a six year old kid carrying a gas mask to school? Our government is straining every nerve to protect us and eradicate the menace we face no matter what you think about it. And they don’t need a bunch of non combat arm chair generals telling the population that they don’t know what they’re doing. They know what they’re doing . I have been from coast to coast since the tragedy of September 11th and I find a totally different attitude among the hard working, tax paying, salt of the earth people of this country. They’re ready to fight , sacrifice and do whatever else it takes to defeat our enemy. You people are so out of touch with the vast part of the population of this nation. You live in an intellectually incestuous world. You never see anybody except each other and you wouldn’t know a sledge hammer from a plowshare much less the people who work with them. That ole boy from Texas ain’t going to give in to your incessant needling. He’s made of stouter stuff than the last poll propelled draft dodger who disgraced the Oval Office. Every time you doubt that this war is righteous take a look at the file footage of the Trade Towers coming down and think about the children whose mommies and daddies won’t be coming home anymore.

Bill Clinton, the former president, said yesterday that terror has existed in America for hundreds of years and the nation is "paying a price today" for its past of slavery and for looking "the other way when a significant number of native Americans were dispossessed and killed." "Here in the United States, we were founded as a nation that practiced slavery, and slaves quite frequently were killed even though they were innocent," said Mr. Clinton in a speech to nearly 1,000 students at Georgetown University's ornate Gaston Hall.
"This country once looked the other way when a significant number of native Americans were dispossessed and killed to get their land or their mineral rights or because they were thought of as less than fully human.
"And we are still paying a price today," said Mr. Clinton, who was invited to address the students by the university's School of Foreign Service.
Mr. Clinton, wearing a gray suit and orange tie, arrived 45 minutes late for the event. Some students camped out overnight to obtain tickets. The former president, a member of the Jesuit university's Class of 1968, opened his 50-minute speech by thanking a former teacher.
"He never abandoned me over all these years, even though he did not succeed in convincing me to become a Jesuit," said Mr. Clinton, drawing laughter and then cheers from the almost entirely white crowd of students.
Mr. Clinton spoke from notes about the world after September 11. He sought to dispel fears of terrorism and "this anthrax business."
"I submit to you that we are now in a struggle for the soul of the 21st century and the world in which you students will live to raise your own children and make your own way," he said.
Mr. Clinton said the international terrorism that has only just reached the United States dates back thousands of years.
"In the first Crusade, when the Christian soldiers took Jerusalem, they first burned a synagogue with 300 Jews in it and proceeded to kill every woman and child who was a Muslim on the Temple Mount. I can tell you that story is still being told today in the Middle East and we are still paying for it."
Mr. Clinton said America needs to pay more attention to its enemies and to the way the United States is viewed by the rest of the world.
"There are a lot of people that see the world differently than we do. It is quite important that we do more to build the pool of potential partners in the world and to shrink the pool of potential terrorists. And that has nothing to do with fighting, but that has to do with what else we do.
"This is partly a Muslim issue, because there is a war raging within Islam. We need to reach out and engage the Muslim world in a debate."
Mr. Clinton referred to stories in the media about some American citizens cheering the terrorist attacks and suspected mastermind Osama bin Laden.
"This debate is going on all over America. We've got to stop pretending this isn't out there," he said.
Addressing matters of globalization, Mr. Clinton pondered the importance of such issues as technology, poverty, democracy, diversity, the environment, disease and terrorism.
"Here's how I think you ought to think about it," he said. "We cannot ignore the fact that we have vulnerability at home because of our interdependence."
The answer, Mr. Clinton said, is to spread freedom and democracy, reduce global poverty, forgive billions in debt, improve health care systems and encourage — even fund — education in developing countries.
"We ought to pay for these children to go to school — a lot cheaper than going to war," he said.
Perhaps most important, he said, is democracy.
"It's no accident that most of these terrorists come from non-democratic countries. If you live in a country where you're never required to take responsibility for yourself, where you never even have to ask whether there's something you should be doing to solve your own problems, then people are kept in kind of a permanent state of collective immaturity and it becomes quite easy for them to believe that someone else's success is the cause of their distress.
"We've got to defeat people who think they can find their redemption in our destruction. And then we have to be smart enough to get rid of our arrogant self-righteousness so that we don't claim for ourselves things we deny for others."
The former president, who left office just 10 months ago after an eight-year tenure, said the federal government is "woefully" lacking on several key terrorism-prevention areas.
"We need to strengthen our capacity to chase the money and get it, and we need some legislation on that," said Mr. Clinton, coincidentally on the same day President Bush, who has made freezing terrorist assets a "front" of his war on terrorism, announced the United States has moved to block the assets of 62 persons and groups associated with two financial networks linked to bin Laden.
"And one area where we are woefully lacking is the simple use of modern computer tech to track people that come into this country," he said.
While he criticized "the governmental capacity" now, he said "we all must support our current government in whatever decision they make."
"This is not a perfect society but it is stumbling in the right direction," he said.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Clinton — who was impeached for lying under oath about a sexual relationship with a 21-year-old White House intern — said the entire issue revolves around "the nature of truth."
"This battle fundamentally is about what you think about the nature of truth," he said, noting that God has imposed on us the inability to ever know "the whole truth."
He also championed women's rights in Afghanistan, saying the reason "you see all those sanctimonious guys beating those women with sticks" is because the country's rulers demand strict adherence to the rules.
Students crowded around to shake the former president's hand after his speech. There were no detractors in the crowd, despite the fact that the university newspaper in September 1998 called on Mr. Clinton, then mired in scandal, to resign.
"The American public," the Hoya said in a 1998 editorial, "has forgotten that international and domestic terrorism requires a proactive defense plan. Terrorists must be caught before they strike, and we must remember that those strikes always come when our head is turned toward other matters."

In retrospect, Virginia's SOLID RightWing Majority didn't get exercised in support for Mark Earley's ABSOLUTELY LIFELESS Campaign in part because the Right realized that Warner can accomplish nothing too damaging in his upcoming Tenure as Guv'nuh, IMHO. With a House of Delegates dominated by the GOP, "Mr. Ed" Warner's Administration promises to be one of the Least Effective in Virginia History, and I predict it may be another 16-20 years before Virginians make the mistake of electing another DemonRAT to sit in the Guv'nah's Mansion after Mr. Ed gets done making an ABSOLUTE FOAL of hisself!! Another prediction--and I credit this to mike2right--is that Guv'nah HorseFace's STOOOOPID pledge that "When I'm elected Governor, there will ALWAYS be a Budget" will turn out to be akin to Bush I's "Read My Lips...No New Taxes" pledge!! As Mike so wisely pointed out, the ONLY WAY Warner can guarantee he'll always have a Budget is if he bends over, grabs his ankles, and gives the GOP House of Delegates everything it wants...LOL!!

For those of you within earshot of Richmond's WRVA-1140, you really need to start checking out Allen Price's show that comes on right after Rush's show and lasts from 3-7!! I called in (804-345-1140) on my way home from work yesterday evening when Mr. Price asked who we would "shadow" if we could follow around one person to assist in the Fight Against Terrorism. Allen said he wanted to "shadow" the BluesBrothers, the Air Force Pilots who are dropping the Daisy-Cutter bombs on the Afghans. I was the first caller and said, "As my patriotic duty in the War Against Terrorism, I would "shadow" Osama bin Clinton so as to determine his weak spots and figger out how to put his TRAITOROUS BUTT in Prison for the remainder of his days because Slick Willie was every bit as responsible for the WTC bombings as bin Laden himself!!!!"

Allen said, "Wow, you've obviously given this some time" and I said, "Yes, Allen, as a matter-of-fact I have!!" LOL!!

After I was off the line, Mr. Price courageously backed up my allegation by pointing out that if Clinton had done what any POTUS should be expected to do after the first WTC bombings, those 3000 innocent Americans who died on 9/11/01 would be alive today!! I heartily endorse Allen Price...he's a breath of fresh air fer Richmond (and this comes from a big fan of Jim Jacobs, BTW).
