Anyone out there notice that Howard Dean looks like Jack Nicholson in the joker? Separated at birth?
To: Peach
You can be proud. Watching him now. He is doing a great job
To: Alas Babylon!
Interesting that the anti-war, liberal types are repeating the same talking points using almost the exact same words, e.g., no evidence Saddam has WMD, no information from the Bush administration on costs, occupy Iraq for up to 10 years, the inspections are working, etc.

Yes it is. It is a response to the Homeland Security department telling us to get Duct Tape! The Hollywood crowd and Nancy Pelosi thinks this is funny and therefore that is their new lapel ribbon.

This guy is now saying, "The time has not come, the time has not come."
What does he want to wait for another 911 until the time comes?
We are not in France, and wait until they get to the Segfeid Line to oppose them.

Is there any doubt that these people are in cahoots?
I would certainly hope that the anti-war crowd who truly believe in containment (maybe what, ten of them who aren't America haters?) would reassess.
Who in their *right mind* would swallow up talking points if said points are in clear alignment with Iraq?

Thanks for the link. I hope the major media pick up on this connection between the French and Iraq. Moral stand by the French my @ss! Thanks to the many articles posted on FR it seems clear that their pacifism has been all about the money for the French, Germans and Russians.

"We are not in France, and wait until they get to the Segfeid Line to oppose them."Think the French would like for the world to enforce the Treaty of Versailles the same way we enforce the Gulf War treaty?
To: M Kehoe
I hope you are right about Turkey. Something about the whole Turkey thing just doesn't feel right to me. They have so much to lose, unless they think we'll forgive and forget.
They are a sovereing nation and can do what they want. But, if we lose one American soldiers life because of their stubborn behavior, they will be difficult to forgive.

Reportedly, President Bush told Chirac in a phone call last week, "We will not forget, and we will not forgive." Hopefully, the same sentiment holds for Turkey.
To: mware; Miss Marple
Outstanding suggestion bump!
The umbrellas, bowlers and pieces of paper should all carry the "Peace in Our Time" quote.

I don't remember anybody asking Bill Clinton how long he'd be in Kosovo, do you? Or how much it was going to cost, for that matter!

Actually, I think the Logan Act prohibits private citizens from acting as independent "diplomats" with other countries.

Did anyone pick up what Werner said about his dad who fought in WW1. Won the highest medal that France gives.
He was considering taking it down off his wall as a sign of protest.
