The house seems has closed the game. Move on to another half assed job:

Korea,
Vietnam,
Cold War,
Gulf War 1,
Somalia,
The Balkans,

Sorry to say it, the world is losing faith..

Our generals are not amused with you keeping two books: one for the terrorist harboring Kurds (I thought this was a war against terror!), and another for us Turks.. That's not how you win.

Too bad it's not your generals we're dealing with. Politicians are liars, wherever they are, and they don't hesitate to lie domestically nor internationally. Leave it to the politicians to muck up the works..

What are you implying? You are a bit all over the map on this one. In any event, do you think what is animating the Turk parliament a dislike that the US won't let Turkey have its way with the Kurds, economic issues (it would seem the economy will be worse if Turkey is cut out of the game and the aid), or simply a general dislike of the US projecting its power into the region?

It depends on whether Beck or I are correct about the reason for this. If I am, your country will soon be in a world of hurt with no friends, and its national integrity will no longer be a given. I hope Beck is right (pun intended).

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Time will tell. The world is shifting, and those countries who act as our friends and allies in these endeavors will fare better in the long run than those who don't. You can take that to the bank.

Can't say I've ever been so disappointed. I've always been a fan and defender of Turkey. Rooted for the Turkish weightlifters and World Cup team, play Turkey all the time in online games, pointed to Turkey when confronted with the "all Muslims are...." argument. I even voted for Ataturk in that silly Time "Man of the Century" contest.

My Turkophile days are over. I've lost faith.
