This sounds eerily like the Urban Legend where a Man
wakes up in an ice-cubed watered bathtub and discovers
his kidney was lacerated and taken from his body.

Interesting details

In an abandoned row house I would expect his entire body to be frozen after two days given the resent weather. It would be interesting to hear the results of the autopsy. Did the rope leave ligature marks indicating strangulation?

Many unanswered questions.

Kind of hard to remove the liver "neatly" with an incision to the base of the stomach...

Now, assuming this was an organ "donation" of an illegal variety...pray tell, where is the surgery being performed?

Not to mention, they'd have to know his "blood type"...I wonder if this guy visits blood donation sites?

Weird....

Do you think that the whiners in Philly are regretting complaining about photo spreads on people wanted for murder
in the "City of Brotherly Love" now?

Not familiar with the "MO" of the wanted, but it might be a good place to start. I'm mixed as to whether I would hope it
was or was not one of the suspected (or known) murderers.

They'd need to know the victim's blood type if a particular recipient was intended. But if the intent was only to sell organs to some kind of illegal market in transplant organs, there'd be no need for such knowledge.

By the way, my blood type is O negative (universal donor). Maybe I better keep that information secret.

Autopsy Today On Body Found Without Organs

by KYW's John McDevitt
An autopsy is expected to be completed on Sunday on a gruesome body found with several organs cut out of it.

The unidentified man's body was found Friday night. Police aren't sure if they're dealing with a murder or an abuse of a corpse case. They say a man looking for scrap metal inside an abandoned house on 8th near Jefferson Streets discovered the body.

The man, Homicide Captain Charles Bloom says, called police and they in- turn contacted the medical examiner. "When the medical examiner arrived, they turned the body over to carry him out and they discovered he had been cut -- basically from the bottom of his neck to the base of his stomach...and some internal organs apparently had been removed."

The medical examiner says the victim is believed to be in his 30's and had been dead for about a day or two. The exact cause of death and when his organs were removed is still be determined.
