I emailed hergus some pics.. I was at Modesto Home show, and since it was some what in the neighborhood, took a look at Buena Vista, Kewin(sp) park, and the possible way Laci could of taken if Vivian and Bill Mitchell really did see Laci and Mckenzie. No sidewalks, mostly, big houses, big tress, (no leaves yet), and an errie neighborhood. I wouldn't live there. Would like to say it reminds me of Willow Glen in San Jose, but Willow Glen beats this neighborhood big time. That is a long walk anyhow if that was indeed Laci. Crossing from Buena Vista/La Loma is a busy intersection with fast moving traffic. Also the park is a strange one too! But built with kids playground there than the area of Dry Creek. I think Dry Creek area is more her liking.... Too far for a pregnant gal, but just my out take...

We were saying yesterday that round trip 20 blocks is much too far for a 7 or so mos. pregnant woman's bladder. Jackie P. also said on Abrams that there was a sighting in the "men's or womans's" restroom at the park. Don't think a pregnant woman would be brave enough to visit a men's restroom in the park on a rainy day with a large dog on a leash. The whole story sounds just too hoakey.

Another poster that lives in Modesto on a different forum posted the same thing about the distance, and no sidewalks earlier this week runningbear.

Crossing from Buena Vista/La Loma is a busy intersection with fast moving traffic. Looking at the map that was my concern also. I just figured there were crossing lights there or she would not attempt it. No lights? No way, why would she chance it? There is plenty of area for walking on her side of La Loma.
There was some question regarding the placement of the house. 231 Buena Vista was described as being on the corner. One poster had it pegged, as I did, in the middle of the block using mapquest. Were you able to place it? Thanks for the gumshoe work, didn't bump into Garcia did you?
