Re: I don't think she's stupid.

That's a matter of opinion but I would think there are
at least 32 million who think she is stupid!

I know I do.

Who can take any of them seriously when their stated goal is to bring down President Bush?

I think everyone is pretty up-to-speed on the semantic gymnastics of the left. It is up to us to develop new forms of protest always enclosed in the truth to counter this nonsense.

Pinning them down and not allowing the rhetoric to descend into some out of focus random bunch of faulty examples, or lies, or extraneous blather usually does it. FOX's Brian K. pinned her down perfectly.

Garofolo, a poster-girl for homeless chic, is so knee-jerk in her responses and so unthinking in her generalizations.

She's right: networks have her on because she's a stupid celebrity who damages her cause.

Self-immolation, on national television. Maybe that could be a new reality show.

Juan Williams just said on Fox News that more people are against this war than Vietnam...! This can't be true!? Well, maybe in the early phases of that war, but not during the era of all the protests! They just make these things up and we're supposed to believe them!

Everyone does it, she says. Then that means that the indians led by King Phillip and killed people promisciously are just as guilty as the Puritan "invaders"(inclusing women and children) whom they killed. But, of course, the former are victims and the latter not. Why? because Her kind says so.

More blather. He may mean worldwide which isn't my concern, but he doesn't have anything factual to back up that statement.

Here at home, the President is on target with the American people. It is shots like the one Williams threw out there that have no basis in fact and cannot be proved, but to challenge that statement needs fact.

The left is mighty short in that supply.

"There is no evidence of weapons of mass destruction. You never even get that idea floated in the mainstream media. If you bring it up, they hate the messenger. You've ruined everyone's good time."

Aesop had it right several millenia ago: Sour Grapes make the Best Whine.

What sort of gets under my skin isn't these Hollywood types who rant and rave now. It's hip to do it. I can buy that reasoning for the likes of those people. But we know they'll flop the stories around after the war. After we find large stockpiles of weapons that "never existed". After we reveal illgal arms deals and unearth mass graves. They'll all get on the same oil/world dominaton bandwagon at once, point out every bomb crater as an example of the savage consequences behind Bush's war.

There's an old phrase (well, not so old, I guess):

Intellectuals are the shoeshine boys of the ruling elite.

For Garofolo, it should be changed:

Intellectuals are the shoeshine GIRLS of the out-of-work elite.

I think there are 32 million people in Iraq who oppose the war but 31,999,999 who will be glad when it is over and the butcher is deposed or dead.

They were wrong about Vietnam and they are wrong about this.

To quote Max Boot in Thursday's LA Times editorial:

Anti-Vietnam War demonstrations, by contrast, still evoke pride among many veterans of the barricades. Indeed, the graying hair and sagging bellies of many of today's protesters suggest that quite a few are 1960s stalwarts bent, like the Rolling Stones, on recapturing the lost glory of youth.

The Vietnam rallies are usually judged to have been successful because they stopped the killing of Americans in Southeast Asia. The killing of local people is another matter. The U.S. pullout led directly to the communist conquest of Saigon and Phnom Penh in 1975. The results were a human rights disaster. Tens of thousands of South Vietnamese were executed, hundreds of thousands wound up in brutal "reeducation camps" and more than a million sought to escape in leaky boats. It was even worse in Cambodia, where the Khmer Rouge slaughtered more than a million "class enemies."

I always like to point out to the peaceniks that the Vietnamese, Cambodians, Hmongs, etc., only took to the boats to escape Communism after the Americans pulled out of southeast Asia. The people were staying put all through the war and bombings. The Communists and their methods were much more lethal. The peaceniks just hate hearing that.

Janeane was way better when she was an apolitical comedienne. Now she's a comical activist.

I'm so glad when the Commies send out idiots like Janeane and Martin Sheen to do their dirty work. They are slitting their own throats, as far as trying to be an important influence. No one takes these narcissitic actor types seriously.

The anti war movement is very small. Note how these leftist celebrities have little respect for their audience. It's all about them.

...Saddam kicked the inspectors out in 1998

Not to knot pick, but didn't UNSCOM leave on it's own accord. Granted, it was because Sadam prevented them from conducting propper inspections, but he didn't actually kick them out.

At least that's the spin from the Left there days. I try not to laugh when I hear this.
