She explained it was a carry-over from another thread.

Well, I think cojones are also needed and in good supply. Orrin Hatch has apparently had a transplant, I deduce from observing him the last week or so.

This is going to be interesting to watch. A lot of people forget that President Bush was watching as his dad dealt with the Senate. He learned a lot of lessons from that, I think.

observe ganging up and bullying against a vulnerable individual, we are put off from the bulliers.

Since you spoke for the men, I'll speak for the women: women hate it when men lie over and over and get mad when you ask them to prove it.

Am I now to assume that it be your idea that even though we know lies are being posted -- and not just once, but over and over -- that we just ignore them because you think asking for PROOF of assertions on this forum is bullying?

You know, back "when," we use to say that if you say it enough somebody will believe it. I guess that's not the case anymore because it's supposedly one of "ours?"

If you've read the thread, TLBSHOW was a disgrace, saying he and Rush were right and we were all wrong.

Right! There were about ten of us who felt something had to be amiss. We all gave our opinions on what we thought that could be, using the evidence and documentation we had, which
refuted what Rush was saying. Voila! The problem was the
source of the story!!!

I have never seen anything that seemed to me demonstrably (or even probably) a lie posted by the poster you are implying has posted lies. That poster is highly emotional, and he has posted things that I suspect were ill-considered. But I wouldn't say they were lies. I think he meant them at the time. I have, however, seen postings by others that I strongly suspected were lies.

Far be it from me, however, to accuse anyone of lying without very solid evidence. It's bad manners, you know.

Senator Blanche Lincoln is under increasing pressure to support the nomination of Miguel Estrada. Senator Lincoln would be breaking ranks with Senate Democrats...

A question for Senator Lincoln: who's constituency do you represent, the state that sent you to Congress or the Senate Democrats? Are you a representative of the people of Arkansas or of the Senators from New York and South Dakota?

Bill Frist NEVER EVER PROMISED a 24 hour, seven day a week filibuster, nor did he PROMISE they would work weekends.

That was stated as FACT on this therad; that is a demonstrable lie.

And, frankly, I am tired of hearing about "issues" that may or may not influence a poster's posts. How are we suppose to know when somebody is a genuine whacko or just off their meds?

I predict that Senator Lincoln (Lincoln is her married name) will not support Miguel Estrada. She is a Democrat after all and the Democrats in Arkansas are especially nasty.

And Hillary seems anxious to have all the women RATs in the Senate oppose Estrada.

You'd think Mary Landrieu would have been given a pass that allowed her to support Estrada, in view of her campaign promise, since her vote isn't needed for the filibuster. But even she has not been given that pass.

I agree with your assessment, aristeides. I started reading the thread and TLBSHOW posted. I immediately thought that howlin won't be far behind. Sure enough, the first insult was at #100 (the 3rd post by howlin). Asking for evidence to back up an OPINION is fine (could be done in a nicer way), but insults are rude and do nothing to advance the discussion.

I know.

They're the ones who tore down an African-American historic slavery landmark to make way for Clinton's library.

They're the ones who couldn't find any union labor in the entire state to work on Clinton's library.

Follow the money of Landrieu. I imagine she owe Hillary for something.

But Hillary should have the sense to allow Landrieu a free vote, in view of her campaign promise. After all, her vote is not crucial to maintaining the filibuster.

I don't understand the Mary Landrieu either. Makes no sense! Hillary is holding on to them with a tight fist! It is like she is a dictator in the Senate!

They're also the ones who made it possible for Bill Clinton to keep his "political viability".

Remember, she was down in the polls in December going into the runoff, and on election day Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton got out the vote and pushed her over the top.
