Norquist reportedly introduced Sami Al-Arian, whom federal law enforcement officials say is a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, to then-candidate George W. Bush during the 2000 campaign.

While I will NOT defend Mr. Norquist's actions in any way, his feet should be held to the fire as well...the insinuation that Al-Arian was admitted access to the WH via Norquist is disengenuous spin produced by the Dems...

On May 7 [1998], President Clinton spoke to almost 800 Arab Americans at a Washington dinner. University of South Florida Professor Sami Al-Arian, clutching an envelope addressed to Clinton, sat in a front row. The speech ended, and the president began working the crowd. For a few seconds, the professor had his arm around Clinton, and Secret Service agents politely took the package of letters and articles.

The Clinton administration shut down a 1995 investigation of Islamic charities, concerned that a public probe would expose Saudi Arabia's suspected ties to a global money-laundering operation that raised millions for anti-Israel terrorists, federal officials told The Washington Times.

Grover Norquist was at the CPAC this year and I had quite a few problems with
the way he shrugged off border-control and illegal immigration because he said
it wasn't a winner (ie. we'd lose votes).

I had no idea he was involved in these other things as well.

By the way, does he speak for the Bush administration?

Norquist is absolutely correct on this subject.

Think about it the dims are waiting to see which
will happen. Tighter border control or terror attack,
the dims don't care which gets done, just an issue
to trash Bush.

The dims have already got this primed and ready to
strike.

President Bush's war and our war on terror is not limited
to Islamic terrorist. At least Islamic terrorist are
right up front who they are, but these lying liberals
over time have created just as many harms.

Unless there is evidence that Norquist has committed
a crime, then all this spat does is ignore who allowed
this whole mess to unfold.

For WHAT, pray tell???

Please don't confuse issues and say TLBSHOW was saying "A", this post says "B" and that somehow "B" validates "A". Not logical.

And "B" is but a re-hash of the whole story with a little embellishment thrown in. For example, there is no evidence Norquist introduced Al-Arian to Candidate Bush. If evidence arises, fine. But so far, nothing. And it was a campaign stop at a Strawberry Festival in 2000,for crying out loud.
